Had Barr fired him for investigating election fraud, it would have made news and reached Trump.

Made the news? You mean like Hunter’s laptop? Or the post office whistleblower?

Everything hinges on the bipartisan nature of tbe coup. Had this guy stuck his neck out it would have been chopped off just like Bobulinski and anybody else getting in the way of removing Trump and the MAGA agenda. Trillions of dollars are at stake and the GOP has no interest in supporting Trump’s MAGA agenda.

US Attorney McSwain was forced by Barr to send any reports on the 2020 election results directly to Penn AG Josh Shapiro, and to no one else.

Josh Shapiro is running for Penn Governor this year.
William McSwain just announced he is also running for Penn Governor this year.

A former marine was "forced" to ignore the Constitution's guarantee of "Republican form of government"? I thought marines were supposed to be tough guys, not wimps... What happened?

Josh Shapiro is running for Penn Governor this year. William McSwain just announced he is also running for Penn Governor this year.

And we should reward someone who thinks the "chain of command" is more important than loyalty to the man who appointed him to the job, or free and fair elections? Hopefully there are better candidates running for the Republican nomination for PA governor.

Wrong answer except for voter ID. What he needs to do is de modernize the system. Go back to when none of that other crap even existed. It was much harder to cheat. Electronic voting apparatus have no place in our elections because there are a thousand ways to cheat with them without even leaving a trail. Or least one that can be easily followed.

I agree with you 100%. Elections in PA need to be antiquated with more paper ballots and poll watchers witnessing the vote counting. I want the the GOP candidate for governor to be railing against the PA Supreme Court for violating the state and federal constitutions by changing the statutory voting laws by judicial fiat. I am tired of lawyers who are afraid to call out judges for misconduct. These judges should be impeached.

You missed my point. Where this guy stands just didn’t matter in the big picture. Same with Bobulinski and the post office whistleblower.

The Dems and GOP were going to get Trump out the WH by stealing the election and nothing was going to stop them.

Certainly William McSwain wasn't going to stop them. Had Sydney Powell been able to exercise the powers of special counsel to which Trump appointed her, things might have been different. The fix was in, but those who did nothing don't prove that nothing could have been done.

McSwain certainly should have. His loyalty needed to have been to the President and the Constitutional obligation to guarantee a "Republican form of government", not to Bill Barr and the "chain of command".

Well, I'd imagine doing such a thing, in real life, would be quite traumatic to his family, career, his work associates, case participants, etc. Certainly much harder than asking some unknown third party to do it on our behalf.

His chances of getting the Republican nomination for governor would have improved greatly if he had shown some backbone. "I just followed orders" is a defense that failed for the Nazis at Nirenberg. I think state senator Mastriano has the inside track for the GOP nomination for governor at this point, if he wants it.

Attorney General Barr, however, instructed me not to make any public statements or put out any press releases regarding possible election irregularities.

Any "proof".

Any "proof".

Barr is now denying McSwain's contentions in an interview to the WaPo:
"Barr said McSwain told him in their phone call that his reference to a “directive” involved a single matter having to do with “allegations of irregularities” in Delaware County, Pa., and that the directive came in a conversation with Richard Donoghue, a senior Justice Department official."
William Barr clashes with former Trump appointee from Pa. over handling of election-fraud claims
Barr is accusing McSwain of grandstanding because he wants MAGA support for his run for governor.
