Yeah, but Ireland did not leave the EU. So while they’re bound by what the EU decides (they can’t negotiate their own agreements with Britain), their media spews the EU line.

Well, there is a simple solution. But like the English, their “elites” really wish they were European, so they will never leave the EU.

Yes, even more so than English elites. But within the EU, they are always going to be lowest on the food chain.

For perspective: Irish fishery value in USD is $1.4 billion; US fishery is $61 billion.
