Shot this video just three years ago, opening for John Fogarty in New Jersey. Top notch band.

“Saw them in 76.”
The Fandango tour. Awesome show.

They were scheduled to play at the Washington Fair, Washington MO next weekend. It’s weird because the article in the local paper states that he has a hip injury but they would still be appearing on August 7 with Elwood Francis. This information came from ZZ Top’s publicist. Confusing.

Elwood was Dusty’s Guitar Tech for some time, so I would imagine they will carry on.

Me and mu buds burned a lot of rope listening to the "Tres Hombres" album when it came out. End of an era.

First Jack Bruce, now Dusty. The world of bass playing is much diminished.

This is a tough one. I grew up about 20 miles from where those boys got started playing in high school. One of my music teachers hangs out with Gibbons.
First saw ZZ Top in Ft. Worth in 71 or 72, great show.

RIP. 50 years is a long run in a tough business.

That sucks. I saw ZZ 5 times and got laid afterwards the same time. One of my neighbors here in Hollywood used to be a roadie for them. Unbelievably, ALL their European shows were sold out all the time when they go across the Atlantic.
RIP Dusty. When I hear Legs’, it’s a better aphrodisiac than Viagra.

Always got a kick out of Dusty and Billy’s amusingly low key coordinated stage moves.

Same band, same 3 members, for over 50 years.
ZZTop. One of the all-time classic rock bands.
