I have a family member that works at a bull farm. One rule is compulsory, never turn your back to a bull while in a pen. Doesn’t matter if the pen 200ft x 200ft.
I never worked with cows or bulls, but our uncle had jersey cows I thi k they were- we had to run across the field or be chase down lol.
We used to give the bison silage in large bowls, strung out a,one one fence so each could have their own spot and get some silage without bei g bothered by the others, but the bull would follow us around dump out each bowl as we filled it,, swinging his horns at us as we reached through the fence to fill the bowls- he’d knock ever every one of them, and the others woi, would, have to eat off the ground.
All that stood between us was a 2x4 fence/corral, and he coulda gone right through it without a problem if he had a notion too. Thankfully he never did, but it was still a bit of risk feeding them through the fence, he definitely would have done some damage if he ever got ahold of us.
