I had a great time at the sale this morning - gorgeous Fall morning. Storms are supposed to come in this afternoon, but you'd never know it from the weather this morning.

The mittens .... I sold 8 pairs. I was glad to sell just 1 pair, so 8 was pretty good. The sale was fairly 'low traffic' - the folks next to me, with more yard/craft sale experience, said the pace of traffic was 'tedious'.

I'm happy with the result AND best of all, I got to talk to some interesting people, which was sort of my goal anyway - to have a good excuse to get out/about. I took our 21 year old pickup which was great for hauling tables ... and it ran just fine (yay!) which was a fairly big deal. The church where the sale was held is in the country and I was driving into the sunrise .... felt like the good old days when I was driving early to horse shows; however, I enjoyed not having to be in the barn at 2 am braiding manes!

So, still have plenty of mittens ... will keep my eye out for another sale. :-)

well done! It would be cool to sell them on Etsy, or perhaps a less cucked alternative (Etsy banned pro-Trump merchandise. AFAIK.) Maybe there could be a good argument to get on there anyway, I don’t know.

I don't want to do "online", Etsy or otherwise. I'll just hang on to them .... they're labeled, packaged, and don't need refrigeration (LOL) so they'll 'keep' :-)

My niece lives in a small town & they have street fairs so that may be an option, if the space rent isn't too bad. At this yard sale, it was $5/space. Great setup - people just drove their vehicles through the space & on to grass, then you could unload your vehicle right there into the parking space on pavement.

This one lady wanted 'black' gloves - came by twice asking about black. There were some very dark purple she mistook for black & perhaps she thought they'd morph into black if she came back - it was kind of funny. I did black crochet mittens for my SIL - her request for her birthday plus I think a lot of her, so I did it. Never again. Even navy blue isn't easy. When the lady kept asking for black today, all I could think of was this pic that I saw recently:

One of a number of red scarves I am making to send to, 'Foster Care to Success' College Kids. This is crocheted using a 'Griddle Stitch' and a Size J hook. I tried to keep it gender-neutral as the scarves are going to guys and gals. I used 3/4 of a 7 oz. skein of Red Heart Super Saver yarn in 'Cherry Red.' Under $4 for yarn, and I had it finished in about 5 hours, total. Scarf measures 7'"wide, by 60" long, long enough to wrap around your neck a few times to keep the chill out. Link below if you'd like to help.

White pumpkins, or spray painted orange ones, (real or craft pumpkins) a spray of tacky glue and doilies from a thrift shop.
