Since he was the first, yes! But Lazenby would have made a better Bond if he wasn’t shafted by his agent by telling him the Bond movies of the day were old fashioned and going nowhere. Lazenby walked away from a 7 film contract and if he’d stayed he would have played in the Roger Moore films. As a matter of fact, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service is now considered one of the best Bond movies these days.
Its Alls Hallowed Eve in 89(?) and Im In Luxembourg. I dont remember the how and why but I do remember that I was there with a number of my associates from our adventuring guild known as The Gutter Running Grinches.
We had been there a couple of days and had a pretty good time so we were quite surprised to find the city had been rolled up and put away until someone explained it to us. We were wandering around trying to find something to do but the city was quiet. One of the party notes a person in high leather boots, a sparkling purple skirt, and a short leather jacket, walking under a street light about a block away and says, “Hey, look at her. Shes going out, lets just follow her.” So we did.
We walked about half a mile and she turns into an establishment with a glass door. At the time most of the places that had glass doors were video arcades but we had nothing better to do so we headed down there and went in too.
As we walked in there was a tiny lit up bar, 5 stools maybe to our left. We couldnt really see into the club much farther as the lights were out except for all the pulsing dancefloor lights. We all ordered beers and stood there drinking for a few moments.
One of my friends pointed out that the bar was all women. I replied, “Maybe so but the ones I can see are the ugliest women Ive ever seen.”
The bartender/owner told us she was the only woman in the bar. We understood and we quick finished our beer and called it quits for the night. Im glad we hadnt bothered to go in any further.
