We had a bad wreck happen in front of the farm this week. Head on. Kid in a PU passed a neighbor stopped to make a left turn while waiting for the oncoming vehicle to pass. Kid in the PU never even slowed down and flew around the turning vehicle then head on into the Honda Pilot with a young mother and her two toddlers in child seats in the back.

Children bruised, mother trapped with broken hip or pelvis, took an hour to cut her out, kid in the PU had not so much as a scratch on him.

I was chagrined he did not leave in the backseat of the patrol car. I don’t even know if he was ticketed. Did not know the full story until yesterday or I would have been compelled to say something.

What is the normal cop procedure in an event like this where the offending driver is concerned?

I hope the pettifogging lawyers are all over this like white on rice.

Second question, anybody know what to do about chronic speeding? The cops don’t seem to make any impression. We live between two hills a mile and a half apart. They top either hill, see the coast is clear and race as fast as they can on the section of highway. There is a cross roads between the hills. That is where the wreck happened.

I see this story is on Gateway Pundit. Read by dozens of people around the world! Anybody else reporting this?

The story is almost two weeks old and has been national news the entire time.

The real question is, how is Griftway Pundit just now reporting on it?

Yep. Assuming he’s not badly injured and is capable of playing at a reasonably high level, watch for the NFL to quietly bring him back into the fold . . . after a decent interval.

This is just good lawyering planting seeds of doubt.

Yeah because all juries overlook that he was driving 153 miles an hour and drunk off his ass. Of course if he wasn’t drunk, he wouldn’t wouldn’t have been speeding. And if he wouldn’t have been speeding, he wouldn’t have crashed and needed the firedepartment. Still don’t know why he’s bitching. It was a white woman who died, so his black life mattered, so now he can go to jail for the rest of his worthless life.

Aaron Rogers took ten times as much criticism from the sports media for skipping the vax than Ruggs did for killing a woman. In fact, a few called for sympathy for Ruggs; I don’t think anyone called for sympathy for Rogers.

"What was his excuse for driving that fast?"

To paraphrase the left on guns: "Nobody needs a car that can go 155 mph." Of course, you can kill someone at 20, 30, 40, or 50 mph.

The car probably started burning within seconds of the crash.

There are times when I think an eye for an eye would be appropriate justice.

This is one of them.

His mug shot says “crap. There goes my career”. Instead of “I’m so sorry I killed an innocent human being.”

It has to be someone else's fault. He is a football player. All his life when he got in trouble or wanted something, a member of the alumni made it happen. They either got him out of trouble or made his wishes come true. I remember Dade City, Florida's high school quarter back was in the Pasco County Jail charged with armed robbery. The Boosters got him out of jail in time to play the game. The High School and the sanctioning body said, "Hell with it. Boys will be boys" and went along with it. He played the game.

Nothing will happen to him. Maybe he will die of an overdose, But for damn sure, the Law will not do anything.

If you think that he is going to jail, you are in for a heartbreak. He will be playing football somewhere next year at the latest.
