What did they do?
They tried to shoo me away. The whole crowd was calling out to him because we loved him. I just shouted louder than the rest because I was desperate. I hollered VERY loudy that would he please give me his autograph for my dad (name) who was a WWII Navy veteran. He heard me and pushed them to one side. I will never forget that.
After what has happened with Trump, do you REALLy think he lost Arizona. Oh man...
I was so impressed with Dole conducting this blitz, that I went to one of his rallies. It was held in the auditorium of our local high school. it was packed full, and everyone was checked through metal detectors by the secret service. It was great fun. It was done to prove he wasn’t ‘too old’ to be president, but he still lost.
