I think giving it to babies is insane. On the flip side, I think giving it to 75 olds probably makes sense. But, if there are 75 year olds who don’t want to take it, they certainly shouldn’t be made to take it. The long-term effects of both Covid and the vaccines are inherently unknowable.

Anti-vaxxers don’t seem to realize that they are a minority (not necessarily on Freerepublic, but in the general population). They need the support of those who are vaccinated, but oppose vaccine mandates. Otherwise, they will be ruined by the government.
Do you really believe that using overblown claims and misunderstood data will endear you to the vaccinated who oppose compulsory vaccination?

The first Covid vax jabs were not foisted on the US public until the middle of December after the fraudulent election. It was likely worthwhile for vulnerable people against the original strain but had an injury and death rate far higher than what would normally be considered acceptable... As the virus mutated the vaccines became less and less effective against the new variants until we have gotten to where we are now.
The vaccines have created more death and injury than all others combined in the last 30 years and the benefits are now questionable. But the huge money stream now going to politically connected people and corporations has created an unstoppable juggernaut that nearly all politicians are afraid to stand up against. But the only way this thing can continue to make money is through government intervention.
This has created a huge opportunity for a courageous firebrand such as President Trump or Senator Rand Paul, but apparently even they have done the political calculus and decided that it is too risky. Very, very sad! But that is the reality we now face... No one with the power and leadership skills needed is currently willing to jump out of the trench and charge the enemy.
What about those Republican voters (more than a half) who are vaccinated? Are you sure he won’t lose them? Damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t. He has to tread very carefully. Unfortunately, Democrats are much more united on this issue.

So...if it turns out that the claims of the cohort of which you speak are not overblown, and that that same cohort actually does understand the data it has marshaled and is working to disseminate, what then? Will it still be your position that 40,000 vexxationated fellow Republicans can’t be wrong?

There is some truth to that.
Trump should have been careful when JnJ’s Alex Gorsky a moron of a CEO, boycotted his business council at the White House after the Charlotte false flag riots. Gorsky shot down Trump’s attempt at reaching out, and then they admonished him with lies on this vaccine touting.
I doubt either will, it’s become taboo to say anything against the vaxx. And soon to be illegal if leftists get their way.
