Carrying on the savings by making your own yogurt to sub for cream cheese decreases the cost by another dollar:

Great Value 32 oz. plain yogurt = $1.87
Homemade using Great Value milk or Great Value powdered milk = 82 cents for 32 oz.

Add in a penny for the starter which was chained from 4 previous batches of homemade yogurt or the dregs from the previous jar (or a heaping spoon of store bought yogurt with live cultures).

Total savings by not using Kraft is about $5.60. Why put that in their pocket?

Cheaper, yes, but most off brands have a chalky feel to them. Best to stick with the gold standard which is Philly. It’s even popular in Italy and those peeps know a thing or two about cheese

Nah.

It is Christmas so here is the best recipe I know.

Three Ingredient Cream Cheese

I use cream and it makes the best low carb cream cheese.

I like that, too. It’s always creamier, more tangy, and less ‘cake-y’ than the ready-made ones I’ve bought lately.

I’m with you on that. The hard ones seem to be made stale on purpose.

I thought that was the way they were supposed to be for years until I had some homemade ones and they were soft.

Never bought another bag................

I don’t know about cream cheese, but the one shortage I’ve noticed at my Publix in Pensacola is sports drinks.

We’ve or an excellent German bakery near us. It’s time for a short jaunt.

TP and paper towels are a little down, too.

Can’t I tell Kraft I’m not making cheesecake but use Publix cream cheese instead? The shelves at Winn-Dixie and Publix have cream cheese.

Really? Good to know. I have never made a cheesecake but when I use cream cheese in casseroles, it works just fine. Thanks.
