I'm guessing there are probably about 10,000 - 20,000* professional soccer players in Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East and I've heard of about between 30 and 50 of these incidents among soccer players in that region alone.

*30 players times 500 teams would be 15,000 players.

There is no evidence currently that COVID-19 vaccines are linked to an increase in sportspeople collapsing or dying due to heart issues such as myocarditis.

It's too early to blame Trump for these deaths. They're working on it.

At this point in time, I can find no research to investigate, or funding research to look into the the correlation between athletes deaths and vaccinations.

I could not find in the article anything about whether the four dead soccer players had been vaccinated and when. Seems like that would be significant.

I would typically want to see the numbers, like you.. but myocarditis is a known risk associated with the vaccines. Nature did a study, and the evidence is mounting: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41591-021-01630-0.pdf

Anecdotally, I had never heard of myocarditis before, but now know a person who got it bad enough to end up in the hospital. What happens if someone has it and doesn’t know it and engages in intense physical activity?

Here is the list of hundreds of soccer players who have died of heart attacks over the last decades while playing soccer. Way before Covid.

The WWF of Soccer even did a study back in 2009 why so many died of heart attacks.
