One would think that if one were to catch it a second time, one's immune system would be better prepared a second time. JMHO though.

Around Christmas my wife and I were in close and extended contact with 6 family members or friends who have come down with COVID. Four were vaccinated with boosters and 2 had only the initial two doses of vaccine. Five of the six are fully recovered and the only one not fully recovered has COPD and acquired COVID for a second time. He is also expected to make a full recovery. My wife and I managed to skip the illness, most likely because we took ivermectin, zinc and vitamins C & D. We had the first two doses of Pfizer vaccine but have not had a booster.
Based on our observations, this disease is more like a cold or mild case of the flu. While our immediate group has prospects for 100% recovery, we know of two cases that resulted in death. In these cases obesity and/or existing illness were present. I pray that you are in good health and will have a full recovery.
I had it Jan 2021 with symptoms...had a test to confirm. Then I felt like crap again mid year...twice! I’m pretty sure at least one of those times midyear was Covid. Daughter also had it last Jan...with symptoms like me. Then she wanted to go to a show and tested positive this past Nov...no symptoms so it was either a false positive or an asymptomatic positive. Then about two weeks later in December she got something where she felt like poo. Who knows with this stuff? I seriously don’t give a bleep about any of it anymore. And it’s especially angering to know that therapeutics like Ivermectin could have worked for people and saved many lives but they weren’t pursued for political reasons. Anyway, I hope you feel better soon. This late in the game you probably have the one with the least complications so that’s good.
Be encouraged! You will soon have natural immunity which most certainly is better than any of the vaccines. With your age group your chance of severe covid is exceptionally low. Vitamin D, C, zinc, quertecin may help give you an advantage and reduce symptoms.
You can get Omicron even if you have had another variant before. Generally, you do not get the same cold twice but every time you get a cold you are experiencing a variant. When they cure COViD, they will have cured the common cold - we are not there yet.
Not a medical expert - but everybody in our house got COViD this week - even the ones that are up to date on the shots. I was also positive on May 23 so not quite 7 months between intervals. Opinion - In the past we would have called Omicron a common cold.

My sister and her whole family got it last Sunday..got it from the baby(Yeah the baby was the spreader) after he had visited the doc for an eye doc appointment..a day later, the baby got it, two days after that, the 6 yr old and hubby got it, then my sister got it..she can’t taste or smell but everyone else is totally fine..even the kids, took about 3 days and done. My nephew was so happy he said “Good now I dont need the stupid shot”
I just went for my annual chick checkup. As we are going over my last year healthwise, I mentioned that on my last insurance biometric check in the summer, I was vitamin D deficient. They gave me a once a week for 12 weeks booster D. My gynecologist said to me that everyone is deficient in vitamin D regardless. I was supposed to return to have blood drawn at the biometric place after I finished the 12 week regimen but did not. I’ve been upping my d3, zinc and other assorted vitamins since. Not been sick at all
Let’s pretend my nephews had delta variant, does that mean they can get omicron or no?

Just look up your age and previous injection status and time since infection or injection, and you’ll see the chance in 100,000 person days that you’ll be reinfected in a given timeframe, at least within the 8 month period after infection or injection presented.
Of note, if one looks at the bottom of Table S6, they may find that getting the vaccine BEFORE getting the actual disease is associated with:
a statistically significant almost doubling
compared to either getting the vaccine after getting the disease or of not getting the vaccine at all
of getting the disease for a second time
at the 6-8 month point
for persons in the 16-39 year old age group.
Other age groups and other times show a similar effect, but not statistically significant.
And, of course, there does not seem to be significant evidence, in this paper or anywhere else, that the jabs reduce the incidence or prevalence of getting the disease the first time. All we know pretty much for sure right now is that getting the injections before getting the illness is associated with a persistent increase in getting Covid twice.
A concern is the possibility that whatever mechanism makes jab recipients more likely to get Covid a second time may also make jab recipients more likely to get some more deadly disease that we may not even have identified yet (maybe that more deadly disease has not yet been released).
Given the size of the study. I would be more worried about lightning strikes than being harmed by covid-19 after you already had it once.
We're at the tail-end of our infection now, which we're 99% sure we got at a big Christmas Day gathering (we learned several people there also tested positive).
Had it early, no infection despite full exposure. Couldn’t smell (key indicator), otherwise just felt crummy (skipped work (WFH) one day).
That report does not seem to say anything at all about natural immunity. I doubt it does anything to enlighten the Colonel.
Sorry to hear this. I just tested positive as well. All the usual symptoms here. Most annoying is I can’t taste or smell anything.

I know several people who caught it at the beginning, had mild to strong symptoms, then caught it again as omicron went around. Mind you- one guy at work- got double vaxxed after having it the first time then caught it again with omicron.
Several of my family members, double and often triple vaxxed, have all tested positive. No one in my household (i’m the only one not vaxxed) has had any symptoms, though we’ve not been tested.
BTW- congrats on getting omicron- its God’s vaccine!!!

Really bad analogy; a car only uses gas for one thing, and cannot use it for anything else. Our bodies have the miraculous ability to use vitamins, minerals, and other substances required, to optimize our health, where needed.
