She was a singer from the 80s who ended her career by tearing a photo of John Paul II on Saturday Night Live; back then there were still a lot of Catholics and he was a well-regarded Pope (at the time).
If her son wasn’t dead she wouldn’t be in the news at all; if she was older she’d be included in “celebrities you thought had died already”.
He was on a suicide watch and the hospital either let him leave AMA or discharged him. Keep in mind he was a minor child so I presume some sort of parental permission would have been necessary. This was a major oversight on the hospital’s part.

Sinead, this is YOUR son.
Liberals, NEVER AT FAULT.
Always whining.
Never happy.
Ali?
Really? She once started a concert by holding up a picture of the Pope and saying, "This is source of all of our problems", before tearing up the picture.
After 65 posts, no one is asking questions of the FATHER. Where is he and how is he taking his period of mourning?
Oh right!!!
Very sad. As an aunt whose nephew committed suicide, I can tell you that the pain and loss is overwhelming. When a person commits suicide, they see no way out of the problems that beset them. They are obviously unable to be rational; if they were, they would never kill themselves.
SHE probably doesn’t read FR, but you don’t know if her friends or loved ones do. The pain to those in the know makes nasty comments look doubly foolish.
“I’m not seeing what is funny here.”

Phil Hartman was golden.
So is she going to rip up another picture of the Pope?
This evening I had a beer with a guy who watched this event live on TV—while the audience had been very friendly up to this point, she was then booed off of the stage.
How far we have fallen in 25 years.
