Save spoiler posts like this for Monday? I like to watch games in delay - no commercials - while I multitask which includes FReeping during the game.

At least keep the result out of the title.

Just finished 1st Q of SF GB game.

Thanks in advance.

I’m fine with Goff. A team must be built first. Even if it takes another 2 years. Then even I could play QB and win.

Goff can get a good team to the Super Bowl. We know that.
Goff is better than Brad Johnson and Trent Dilfer, and they won Super Bowls.

You still need a plan to make the rest of the team enough better than your opponents with the Mahomes and Burrows and Bradys. I think it starts at the lines on both sides.

BTW, I am a Rams fan satisfied with Stafford. He is not Rogers or Brady, but he has helped us up our game. And his wife Has no use for Gov. Gretchen.

I assume the Lions will draft Hutchinson, so that should definitely beef up their defensive line.

I think most Lions fans are rooting for Stafford. It wasn’t his fault, he did what he could all those years in Detroit.

Joe Burrow is a class act worth putting aside self-righteous virtue signalling to watch him play.

“Burrow has the chance to take over Brady’s legacy if he can get some offensive lineman who can protect him”

So true. I’m hoping for a Burrow/Brady Superbowl.

Burrow got me interested in football again, along with Josh Allen and the Bills. Some really fun teams to watch. I have nothing against Mahomes and the Chiefs, but I am kind of tired of NFL games resembling Video Games.

The LSU 2019 season was the best college ball I’ve ever watched and is the only reason I am watching Bengal games.

Burrow/Chase reminds me of Montana/Rice from the old days.

I haven’t watched a Superbowl since 2017 but will this year if the Bengals make it.

No surprise. The Bengals always beat the Oilers in the postseason.

Re: "Tannehill just reverted to form is all"

Tannehill has always been a mystery.

He was a wide receiver in college until his third year, when he started seven games at QB.

I was still a passionate Miami Dolphin fan when he got drafted in 2012, so I was able to watch him closely from the very beginning.

During his seven seasons at Miami (out 1 full season with knee injury), he never had a consistent running game or a stable offensive line to take the heat off his passing game.

In spite of that, he holds many of the Miami team QB records, a team that included Bob Griese and Dan Marino for more than two decades.

Even more important, he never complained even once in public about Miami's RB and OL issues. For instance, in his first pro game, he faced J.J. Watt, in Watt's Hall of Fame break out second season. In seven years, the guy never made an excuse for ANYTHING.

In his last seven seasons, his lowest QBR was 88.7. With the Titans, his three season QBR average is 104.5.

His biggest problem - interceptions. Almost every season, his interception number is close to 50% of his TDs, and some of those interceptions, like today, have been very costly.

I like drafting worthy linemen high, they are less likely to be a bust than a qb. The Rams "Greatest Show on Turf" years had two key first round picks: Orlando Pace (Left Tackle-1st overall) and Tory Holt (WR). We got the QB for free (Kurt Warner) and the the disgruntled but worldly talented RB in a favorable trade (Marshall Faulk) and a needed left Guard as a free agent signing (Adam Timmerman from GB). That team was built from ALL the elements.

“I think it starts at the lines on both sides.”
Of course. I have always recognized that Detroit / Michigan has one of the best Football fanbases, but they are woefully ignorant of the game.
All you need is a 1st round QB, and poof we win the Superbowl!! Tardar! I like Stafford, and I wish him well.
