“Last I checked, Ford lost money for every vehicle it sold, thanks to UAW contracts. It’d be a good problem if Ford were a healthy company.”

That is 100% not true. Ford has been making a healthy profit for years.

From WSJ:
The U.S.’s second-largest auto maker by sales reported revenue of $26.8 billion. Ford also raised its full-year pretax profit guidance to between $9 billion and $10 billion, up from $5.5 billion to $6.5 billion earlier. Ford shares rose about 4% in after-hours trading following the results.Jul 28, 2021

You’re right about the EPS, but you must realize that the dividend figure you claim is not only mathematically impossible unless they were going out of business, but also inaccurate. Their quarterly dividend is $.10 per share. It’s now trading at around $20 per share, so that’s a PE of 29.39 on an EPS of $.70. That’s a whole lot better than they were doing in 2009, which is when last I checked. But still not a healthy company.

he tapes in TN. He was in RI weeks back due to his grandson.

PLUS He hates Biden and the Dems judging how many times he had Pelosi’s image after he says “crap”. I caught a few of his vids which starts with “I’ve had it with Biden” until he changed the title later at night.

You just explained how it is mathematically possible.

If EPS is .70, then it can’t pay out $2 per share (your figure) unless it’s liquidating assets.

It must be the CAFE standards/average mileage per vehicle sold across all Ford model lines, that is the problem at this point, and not any kind of chip shortage as we’ve been told.

In other words, we’re continuing to be fed a steady diet of gaslighting courtesy of our friendly neighborhood globalists and Deep State tyrants.

I bought Corel video studio several years ago. Rebuilt my computer and tried to reinstall it. Their validation servers won’t allow it. Called tech help and they said they no longer support that version, and I would have to buy the new version, no discounts.
That’s why I’ll never buy a Corel product.

I don’t know. I know a few people who had Mavericks back in the early-mid Seventies, and they regard them with some favorable sentimentality.

I am sure part of that is getting older, but part of it is-nearly ALL cars sucked in the Seventies, particularly American cars.
