I assume she gets a few or several million dollars per year on The View. Doubt she could do as well elsewhere, as The View is the premiere leftist-woman talkshow.

Anyone who watched the View and shows like it to immerse themselves in news, remove their senses from both entertainment and the news by watching that nonsense. Pure bread and circuses.

I already do not notice the absence of Whoopi from The View.
These females are endlessly fungible, that is, one could be substituted for another from the list of substitutes the producers of The View keep handy, and there would not be a ripple.
A person could thrust their arm into a bucket of water, and pull it back out. The size of the hole left in the water is the exact measurement of how essential Whoopi is to The View.
In the end, this may be the best job Whoopi was ever fired from.
Can’t stand Whoopie, but they are chopping away at the first amendment. I don’t like what she said , but she has a right to say it just as we do on Free Republic.
The thing is, it’s not just who watches The View, or any of these shows when it’s on. The clips from these shows are available on social media for people to watch at their leisure, and things that happen on these shows do become news, and do influence even those who don’t watch these shows.
She’s experiencing man’s inhumanity to moron. If you want to call it a suspension, meh?
Can someone explain Whoopi Goldberg to me? Why is she on television and considered someone whose opinions are interesting and/or relevant? She’s much dumber than the average person I meet on the street. She’s much uglier than the average person I meet on the street. Why does anyone want to watch this person? Why does anyone care about anything she says or does?
To some extent, I understand her success 30 years ago in movies like “Ghost” and “Sister Act,” in which her strange looks and gift for physical comedy worked in a few acting gigs. But that’s ancient history.
