One of the Beach Boys (Dennis Wilson?) hung out with Charlie, too.
You know there are plenty more not added into the official count.
I knew Dennis Wilson (Beach Boys) was a close "friend" to Manson but never read anything about Neil Young knowing Manson.
After my freshman year at Cincinnati, I moved to LA with the "girl-next-door" by my side. We found an apt in Hollywood about 1 year before Manson's family murdered those innocent people. It was a short 10 minute drive from my front door to the Tate home in the Hills
Even though we did not have a TV, Manson & family were everywhere in daily discussions.
One of the Beach Boys, Dennis Wilson, was a friend of Manson’s and they recorded one of his songs. These crazies had plans to kill Steve McQueen who at the last minute cancelled an invitation to go to Sharon Tate’s house that night. They also had written out plans to kill Frank Sinatra and to boil Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor in hot oil. Steve McQueen never again went unarmed, even while sleeping. I don’t blame him.
Charlie met record producer Terry Melcher through Dennis Wilson, and they had a falling out. Charlie sent the killers to the Tate house because he thought Terry Melcher still lived there (Melcher had moved out).
Can’t kill a celebrity in CA and expect to get out. Anyone else would get out in a few years.
They realize there isn’t any good press in releasing these people.
Neil Young jammed with Manson, tried to get him a recording contract and gave him a motorcycle. Yet Joe Rogan has to shut up bc Neil Young disagrees with him. Neil Young has bad taste in people; I would be afraid to agree with him.
She stabbed Rosemary La Bianca but she claims it was after she was already dead. She did not stab Leno. She’s no angel but she’s not as evil as Tex, Susan Atkins, and Krenwrinkle were.
And don’t be surprised if you see Tex and Susan Atkins in heaven. They both repented, appear to be sincere and the Bible is full of examples of people who committed murder and repented and will be in heaven.
Shoot, David committed adultery, lied about it, got the girl pregnant, (Bathsheba) lied about it, when that didn’t work, put out a hit on her husband. Kinda of heinous stuff you see on the Oxygen channel. And later, after he repented, God called him the apple of his eye.
We are all full sin.....every one of us and God is full of grace and mercy. We’d all be a goner if he wasn’t. But he puts up with us......until of course he’s given us every chance and we still refuse to repent.
She was pretty hot back then

The travesty is that she is still breathing.

Nobody was invited to Sharon’s that night except the people she dined with....the other 3 murdered. Sharon was tired and even told her sister it would be better if she not come over that night.
Half of hollywood would later say they were supposed to go over that night. None of which is true. Sharon was 9 months pregnant and was very tired that night. She had lunch earlier that day with some friends there at the house. Then went to dinner at El Coyote on Beverly with Jay, Abigail, and Voytek. All 4 were murdered. Sharon just wanted to go home and rest. I have read every book....seen every movie, been up there many times too.
The big question is....did Charlie go back to the house early that morning. There are credible witnesses to hearing noises around 4 am well after the murders. We probably will never know if Charlie went up there to see what he ordered for himself. Only God knows and God will show us all someday. Every sin will be revealed. All secrets.
As I noted above, it’s well documented Manson befriended Dennis Wilson in hopes of help in getting a recording contract.
As an aside, Terry Melcher (son of Doris Day) had been living in the Tate home previously. Perhaps Manson was exacting revenge on Melcher refusing to give him a recording contract.
Living in Hollywood at the time, I still recall the massive Police presence for days in the Hills.
I get your point, but if pretty sure Leslie Van Houten was charged with being involved with the LaBianca murders and was not involved in the Sharon Tate murders.
Either way she should never get out, it’s tragic what happened to everyone involved.
The gang cut the telephone wires; well before the age of the cell phone. There was a lot of debate over the knowledge of the live-in caretaker, who lived in a small building adjacent to the Tate home. He always disclaimed knowledge of what had happened while it was happening. Knowing these goofballs, it is surprising they didn’t go into his dwelling as well.
That is between them and the Lord. Between them and the law of the state they live in, justice needs to be served. The rest of society, not to mention the families of the people murdered, deserve consideration too.
