We have already made the overtures to put nuclear missiles into Poland:

Debating it... in 2018. And they are NOT there. Because unlike Russia, we cave to their cry bullying, just like the ChiComs.

How did we ever have the nerve to get so upset about Soviet missiles in Cuba? The Soviets didn’t seem to get terribly upset about our missiles in Turkey…

“I don’t see China forward-deploying troops towards Russia…”

They don’t need to. Chinese economic power alone is making China very attractive to people in Eastern Russia.

This is Russian propaganda from Russian RT.

First, there was no promise made at all by the US or by NATO.

“She also backed the moving van up to the White House and absconded with government property when she and Bill left.”

It must be a Democrat thing. Johnson supposedly also made off with anything that wasn’t actually nailed down.

“It’s sort of like why normal Americans don’t worry about losing control of Detroit or Gary, Indiana.”

Those areas have vast and untapped narural resources. Detroit and Gary have few natural, or even unnatural, resources.

This is Russian propaganda from Russian RT.

First, there was no promise made at all by the US or by NATO.

Second, Russia is a liar state, having never honored one of the arms control agreements or any other agreement.

This “betrayal” of Russia makes no sense.

Not sure who you're quoting, but I didn't use that word and it doesn't appear anywhere in the article. If you're confused, look in the mirror

OK, Russian jackboot licker, the RT twisting of facts is complete BS and Russian propaganda.

Like it always is. What is the Kremlin line today...

1. Exercises and no invasion?
or
2. If we Russians, the losers of the Cold War, don’t get our absurd demands met, we use “technical and military attacks”.

The NATO talk is a red herring. It was never happening. Ukraine has too many Russian connections and corruption to ever be in NATO. What this is really about is Ukrainian membership in the EU. Putinists do not want Ukraine in the EU above all because that would be the beginning of the end of their kleptocratic rule in Russia.

The resources across much of Siberia are "untapped" because it is prohibitively expensive to tap them.

Russia is already importing Chinese workers to keep much of eastern Russia functioning. Kind of makes me wonder if Russia is even a functional country anymore.

“the West made it “clear” to the Soviet Union”

LOL ! That's what the mid rank western dudes allegedly TOLD the mid rank Soviet dudes. Nothing was put on paper and the Soviet Union collapsed 30 years ago.

It's the same old crap, which according to Russian propaganda somehow “justifies” their aggression toward their neighbors.

+ the NATO expansion took place 20 years ago and before Russia started changing borders by force, the amount of “western” military east of Germany was basically zero, it's not significant even now.

Modern Russia broke the INF, CFE and nearly every treaty they signed so playing the victim card bringing up some +30 years old non binding talks is simply pathetic.

“It's why this Ukraine nonsense is a shame.”

It's nonsense on many levels. They turned their “brothers” into mortal enemies, they ruined their reputation, they spend additional billions on military when at the same time they can't put together a friggin pipeline without help of western companies. All of that so older KGB dude and his buddies can get away with stolen billions covering it up with “NATO aggression”. 20 years from now people there will be back to producing porn as the main source of income complaining how the whole world failed them. Pathetic.

“Ukraine has too many Russian connections and corruption to ever be in NATO.”

True.

“What this is really about is Ukrainian membership in the EU.”

It's not even that. Ukraine is too poor and too large to join the EU. EUnuchs like small and poor but fast growing economies so they can initially offer some “funds” and then parasite on them for generations.

Simply, for Kremlin dudes, anything else than Ukraine fully under Russian control, is provocative, Russophobic, nazi and the effect of the US industrial military complex conspiracy. There's no room for compromise so the whole thing will be likely going on for decades slowly bringing down both countries.
