people are idiots about passwords. most corporations I’ve dealt with are similarly ignorant. All the complex password requirements and frequent rotations do is force people to have some kind of system to get around them.
Even NIST has finally come out against frequent password changing. Best practice is a longer password that you only have to change a couple of times a year. Run cracklib against your password databases regularly, and shame those you find, and you’ll get rid of most of the real stinkers of passwords.
I have a couple of really strong passwords that I use for important things, such as my password safe, and PGP keys.Almost everything else uses the aforementioned password safe.
I’ve come up with some good algorithms for generating strong wifi passwords, that are reliable, reproducable, and yet functional. They need to be entered so seldom, that they can be as complex as you like.
I tried 222222 on a pw strength tester:

just add two other characters and it goes from weak to very strong, like -A222222z
