I love DST, but I would just set the clock forward 1/2 hour and leave it permanently. Something for everyone!

I was always in favor of splitting the difference, too, for the same reason.

Man Made Time Shortage (MMTS)

The developed world is exploiting the third and fourth world’s natural time resources, every year taking a prime time hour away from them, unfairly making the wealthy richer.

As MMGW is killing off the polar bears, MMTS is killing off the penguins. Follow the science! 110% of scientists agree that only a one world socialist government controlling all wealth will be able to stop MMTS.

“It’s bad but the worst part is the grumbling twice a year.”

And the people telling you to stop grumbling about the twice a year grumbling!

Just your friendly reminder of just how much government controls.

No need to make DST “permanent.” Just have every place in the U.S. change to the next time zone to the east.

” reportedly saves energy, cuts down on traffic accidents and reduces crime. “

According to who? Evidence, or just someone’s urges?

If we had year round daylight time, the sun wouldn’t rise till after 8 am in many places in mid winter. So there’s that.

Arizona doesn’t observe daylight time. I’ve heard that with the desert heat in much of the state, they don’t want an extra hour of daylight in the evening.

Buy a vehicle where the “H-point” is much higher off the road.

It really helps....

Time zones could be split to the half hour.

I ignore it. Sure, I set my clocks to match my time zone. But I still go to work at the same (solar) time and feed my dogs at the same (solar) time.
It’s ridiculous to change the clocks twice a year. If someone doesn’t want sun in their eyes driving to work, then go in earlier or later. School busses don’t want to run in the dark? Start school later during winter, then back to ‘normal’ schedule in Spring and Fall.

I saw someone tweet it that it was stupid and we should just stay on it all year and I did a double take when I saw it was Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI). Have we found a bipartisan issue? I absolutely loathe this crap.

Either

1)Abolish
2)Stay on all year
3)Go half an hour forward and stay that way

It’s easy to forgot about this nonsense expect when it’s about to happen but I’d really love to see something done. Add it to the MAGA agenda.

Interestingly, clock time has come to mean less to me since I started working for myself. I schedule my mornings based on the rising of the sun, regardless of what time the clock says it is.

Strange. It hits me in the neck. Maybe try going the other way.

Ha, I do that at the end of the day where the setting laser beam is waiting. 😛
