Fry hamburger with onion and green peppers, pour in half a small can of mushroom soup. Boil noodles for Kraft supreme mac and cheese, mix the cheese into it and add the two together. YUMM, I used to make it for the kids and we all loved it. If you are poor, you use the $.25 box of Mac and cheese.
Tang has been available for several years now.
I use Lipton instant iced tea jars to put cooking grease in so it won’t leak out of the garbage. Not as nice, perhaps, as your usage, but certainly effective.
Yep. Tastes better than any already prepared stuff.
Come to think of it, I don’t use ketchup; I use tomato sauce or paste, diluted. Whichever I have on hand.
Hey! We’re having conversations here! Don’t be so uptight.
Did you ever hit the Varsity for burgers?
I need to figure out what was in the canned stuff I liked. I’m terrible at taking apart recipes by taste like that.
(Considering it was canned, it was probably MSG LOL!)
I’ve tried to make fondue but it never comes out as, in my imagination, I figure it should be.
The boil-in-bag creamed chipped beef is still very good.
And a lot of Indian entrees are sold that way, now. ‘Tasty Bite’ is one, but I think I like ‘Kitchens of India’ best.
LOL!
Those were like Garibaldi biscuits, which you can still buy:

Honestly that’s a little better way of going about it. You can always add a bit of vinegar if you want the stronger acid bite.
Generally green bell pepper, onion, and some simple tomato-based sauce with a bit of mustard, granulated garlic, black pepper, salt to taste and a few other spices.
You might try a little bit of ground chipotle pepper if you like spice and smokiness.
After all these years on Earth, I finally understand the term "green with envy".
Once or twice during college, but didn't partake this time. I was pleased to drive by and see that it was still there, though.
Muffin Tops!
Just like mom used to make.
That’s cool. I’ll have to check it out on my laptop.
