“It looks to me like the parents knew right away their daughter was a runaway involved in sex trafficking. It also looks to me like they’re trying to find some deep pockets in which they can sue and collect.”
I’m trying to understand how a 15 year old girl walks out with a stranger, or was it even a stranger?
“Texas now has life without parole which is a good thing.”
...until a Leftist judge strikes it down. That’s why I support the Death Penalty.
That would be an excellent protocol for most venues except when there is heavy exit volume (end of game, team gets behind by 30 points in 2nd half...)
Technology (some of it pretty “medium tech”) could help a lot without being overly intrusive. And, practically, exiting need be no faster than cars can leave the (stadium in this case) area.
There are plenty of (mostly inexpensive) “Public Service” angles for venues and teams here too...
Without knowing any details, analytic principles tell me there is much more to this story than is being reported.
Make the bastards PAY BIG TIME.
The police should be ashamed of their organization.
I’m curious as to why there was a decrease? Had the definition to meet the criteria of ‘missing’ changed? I mean, it’s very good to see a decrease in missing people. But, I’m a bit cynical these days.
I just checked out the stats.
In 1990 it was 663k
In 2020 it was 521k
But there was a spike in the mid 1990’s and the reported missing climbed to 980 k. Then it slowly decreased to where we are now. So, it’s actually about the same since 1990. Not sure what contributed to the spike tho.
What they recommend telling your child is instead of screaming for help, yell fire. Yelling fire is effective as its an immediate danger to everyone who hears it as they’ll immediately be looking for the source.
Yes, I had forgotten that.
Or possibly yell, "GUN!" In this day in America that might be a good alternative, as well.
Also, since the perps were arrested in Oklahoma I would think that they would be prosecuted in Texas and Oklahoma on multiple charges.
Chilling. Dallas cops didn’t ask for a PHOTO of the girl? Shameful! I hope the City Of Dallas has deep pockets.
Sadly, this isn’t the ‘50s when kids usually could do things like walk alone to a bathroom and be safe. It seems that parents need to escort any child under 18 and keep an eye on them at all times.
My nephew has three gorgeous daughters, the oldest one 11. He and his wife never let them out of their sight in public.
