I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Even if they can’t afford to donate, people offer prayers which I am so grateful for.
It’s wonderful.

Pseudo hipsters always underestimate “squares”. It’s the only way that can feel superior to someone. So true, and you know, I was well into to my forties before I realized it.

So literally, I would sell the bike before the boots. Your prostate would agree.

Indeed I was.
The youngest of five in a very arty, ecclectic family. Oldest brother came back from college with Patti Smith, The Ramones and the Sex Pistols in his record collection and I was on my way.
My parents (who were WW2/beatnik artists themselves) were in their fifties and sixties by then, I was practically feral and already a BIG personality — so, sorry I didn’t have the traditional Ward and June upbringing, but I did okay.

That’s junkies in a mutually abusive relationship. The soundtrack don’t matter for those folks.

I got to seem up close at a small club in Houston around ‘77 or so. Lots of fun.

I don't know. I always thought the Velvet Underground was new wave before New Wave was cool! Plus, he's a bit of a rebel, as you can see. Wait, was it Underground or Fog? Oh, well. I liked Sweet Jane.

His song “Mama I’m comin’ home” was pretty good. Did I get the title wrong again?
I’m comin’ home now, ree-al soon (You’ve been gone)
Comin’ home baby, now (I don’t know what I’m gonna do)
I’m comin’ home I know I’m overdue
(Since you went away) Expect me any day, now real soon (soon)

I have a pair of Danners that I got in about 1990. Still wear them. Cost me $180 bucks then, now that model is about twice that.

It's funny, for a brief time I worked in the shoe department at Sears. I always had people asking me where our Doc Martens were.
I told them, this is Sears. We have Dr. Scholl's.
I really couldn't believe how many people thought the Dr. Scholl's Sears carried were Doc Martens.
But, I guess, I actually can.
