Can you imagine being an astronaut and trusting these kooks to do real science and their jobs with the boosters, spacecraft, suits ect...?
NASA is full of check drawing bureaucrats and kooks, science is the farthest thing from their minds. Now it’s promoting the climate change lie and marxist politics.
Completely remove all funding from NASA climate scientists. That is what NOAA is for.

The elites feel that their lifestyles are threatened by the crazy world they created, so they have no choice but to eliminate a significant number of the population. Why does NASA have “climate
scientists? Is not NASA’s purpose to explore space? There is no climate in space. I would understand a Meteorologist to see if it safe to launch, but why a climate Scientist?

Because Congress saw America’s apparent lack of interest in further space exploration started slowly strangling NASA’s budget (As interpreted by politicians!); they had other political priorities. Remember Ralph Abernathy’s PR stunt at the last Apollo launch! The “thinking” (If you can call it that!) was to revitalize John\Jane Q. Public’s interest was to attach NASA to the pop culture environmentalism hysteria that was sweeping the country. (Remember Captain Planet and all that?) James Hansen a then NASA run-of-the-mill astronomer midlevel GS employee latched on to and rode it to celebrity. The Rats adopted him to their bosom because his carnival science represented a possible enormous expansion of government power if not possibly socializing the US. NASA seniors went along with it because they needed the money. They brought him in to testify before Congress (Slightly more credible to a bunch of lawyers, i.e. Other Congresscritters then Meryl Streep or other Hollywierd’ experts!). He later led rallies (A fireable offense for a USG employee!) & became bigger in fame then astronauts thanks to a cooperative MSM. He turned it all into his own NASA empire with research funding for academics (Who knew what answer to get if they wanted to continue to have funding!). I’ll say this much for him, he unlike Michael Mann has pulled back somewhat in his “certainty” on climate.
Anyway, meteorological satellites & the analyzing of their data is needed for basic weather forecasting needs and basic research. So, you are right NOAA should have the primary/lead role on climate. They should ‘contract’ to NASA for satellites and launch and that’s NASA’s only role.
Climate alarmists are the global version of Pol Pot - have to totally destroy the world to remake it in their utopian image.
