“Juneteenth is an important part of the history of our country and the Republican Party.”
Ahhh, yes it is.
Juneteenth commentates when Republicans freed slaves from their Democrat owners .
Any conservative that doesn’t see that needs to open their eyes.
Republicans should campaign on this.
“Republicans bring freedom, Democrats bring bondage.”
If it’s going to be a thing which it is then I’m fine with making a play to get credit for it. It was Republicans who freed the slaves after all.
Yeah, well the Juneteenth crowd here in Memphis are celebrating to the fullest. Gunfire everywhere and the emergency rooms are loaded full into the lobby.
...and while we’re discussing rino hunting...
Not as accurate as you could be.
The southern US still clung to slavery after the civil war. The Jim Crow laws and kkk, which was the guerilla warfare arm of the democrats, terrorized not only blacks but republicans as well.
Close.
It marks the day that Republican bayonets reached Galveston Texas. Thus ENFORCING Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation.
The ‘news’ had not bearing on the event.
The democrats armies had to be defeated first.
This event marks the end of the war between the democrats and the Republicans.
Oh noes, not another F’d up date.
7?
Or Juneteenf-sha
Not sure why the attitude.
The republicans basically won. Chattel slavery ended in America. Perhaps not all in one day but basically and legally and overall yes that was the end. I am glad. That does not mean I hate the confederate states. I know the Civil War was about more than that.
But to celebrate the end of manstealing family destroying murder allowing torture allowing rape allowing slavery? Absolutely. It’s completely evil.
Indentured servitude or POW servitude I don’t necessarily object to within certain protections.
C’mon now. The Juneteenth announcement in Galveston was basically little more than a very late US Mail delivery.
The proclamation had been made a year or two earlier.
True. And many of the slave owners in the Union States were also black.
Delusional.
Never heard of it until a couple years ago.
What liars.
Never heard of it, but of course I speak English.
CQN... Make that: The proclamation had been made earlier.
GAG
This is part of the Marxists plan to get rid of recognition and admiration for Martin Luther King, a plan that has been underway for a couple of decades. This new holiday is intended to supplant MLK day.
Reverand Martin Luther King stood for what they hate, including:
1) Non-violent approaches,
2) Belief in God
3) Judping eople by the content of their character rather than the color of their skin.
Juneteeth is yet another anti-white event meant to push pro-dark skinned policies and designed to indirectly tell white people that they are somehow bad for being white.
Blah blah blah.
I don’t have much on my calendar.
Language seems to be the purview of the Left. I don’t want to give them an inch.
