This one incident is meaningless.
It’s the trend that has become worrisome- petty oneupmanship is not winning. There is no reason to feed red meat to the MSM - they turn it into ammunition for the DNC.
You do have a valid point. This is ego driven, for sure. Not sure who or how it started. But....
Everyone thought Musk was going to save the world. Twitter, waited him out. For me, it’s really curious to know why the board wants to enforce the deal, since it was shown that they own hardly any stock, so what do they get out of it?
It kind of boggles my mind why they would go after Musk since they run the risk of having the court force them to expose everything.
But, I go back to the article on Conservative Treehouse...Jack’s Magic Coffee Shop...and I have to wonder just how did Twitter become Twitter without some massive incredible amount of help from Uncle Sugar.
Thank you. I thought I was the only one who had these thoughts about Trump.
How about - the man who wants to be president should be talking about what he wants to do when he is president or what his actual plan is for becoming president given his conviction that the current electoral system is deeply tainted by fraud. What’s his plan for actually fixing that - other than just having a bunch of people announce that the scales have fallen from their eyes and now they realize he was right all along. And even that wouldn’t prevent this terrible fraud from happening again.
Instead he’s spending his time on Twitter calling somebody else a jerk.

So fed up with this garbage. I have supported Trump but I don’t think that he can do anything but this limited repertoire.
Sad.
Count me among those (apparently a minority) who doesn't understand this. I'm a huge Trump supporter, and will vote for him again if he runs, but this is pure Trump ego at work. Musk isn't a political or business rival, and as far as I know said nothing about Trump before he started going after Musk. It's just weird and unnecessary.
So would the airlines.
I agree, unlike DeSantis, Musk took the MSM bait here and succeeded in getting the two to fight.
*sigh*
What the hell is the point of this???
I had hoped Trump wasn’t going to head down the petty path again.
This crap is truly his Achilles heel…
Trump - NYC 1980s - subsidized housing. That’s how he got his start. I would imagine building a golf course gets you a lot of tax breaks and other deals from the city/county. Same with large hotels.
Subsidies, grants, tax breaks, kickbacks etc. Many businesses operate that way.
The freepers who have solar panel setups talk about all the breaks they got that paid for 30-40% of it.
Well, Bruce Campbell the difference being, obviously, that if, then, Donald Trump lost the money...it was gone. Whether it was his dad’s or his. It was personal wealth that had been acquired and was lost.
If Musk had fallen on his face, it was someone else’s money, the taxpayer, and it would be gone from the taxpayers bank account and absolutely ZERO accountability.
A big giant OOOPSIE!!!!
Kind of like, I take out a loan for something and I lose it all and I still have to pay it back.
OR....
I get taxpayer money, lose it all, walk away and NOTHING. I’m responsible for NOTHING. A shoulder shrug and See Ya!
Maybe Trump has an addiction to social media and needs to take a break.
Ask the mods to fix your title.
Too much? About what percentage of his time do you estimate he actually spends on Twitter these days?
Like it or not, the government has been subsidizing transport innovations for over 200 years. Two hundred years ago, it was mail contracts for the early steamship lines. One hundred years ago, it was mail contracts for the early airlines. Just doing it differently now.
It is Trump took the bait, not Musk.
That’s where so many differ about his “Achilles heel”.
Musk says that he wants to buy Twitter and that Pres Trump should be allowed back on. All of a sudden he’s a Conservative Hero.
Did he not say, when it started, that he was going to make Twitter subscription based. He was going to make money from it. Which is perfectly OK and he’s the owner, he can do what he wants. No issues there.
It looks like many, millions, have convinced themselves that Musk has become a certain person, that he may not actually be. President Trump challenges that and folks aren’t happy.
And, as usual, it’s hard to point out when President Trump has been wrong, about damn near anything.
Time will tell.
And farmers.
What is there to gain by doing this? Is there anyone that Trump likes?
I agree. Some thoughts/feelings need not be verbalized, right or wrong. Especially in politics.
And, banks.
(We could go on and on :)
