At the end of the letter, Attorney General Schmitt promises to use the full power of his Office to stop the FBI’s attempts “”

Who needs the AG? As far as I know the Sheriff can tell the fbi to take a hike.

Choose your sheriff wisely. The supreme court has already decided that they are the #1 LEO in their county and above any state or fed LEOs.

Makes one wish he had started CC without a permit. The Gestapo is starting to conduct a purge.

Never have been “ mandated”, but required by law. Yes, I know we all have issues with infringement, so do as you will. Here in MO, having a license makes carry, open or concealed a non-issue with regard to prohibited places. Yes, those restrictions that can get a non-licensee a prison stay, make so doing for a licensee a non issue unless one is just an ass and violates other laws.

Permitless carry, while regarded by many as the solution, does not provide the same liberty as a license. Whether we agree or not, a closed record, non- crime prohibitions, and the professional courtesy aspect has made many a carrier happy. Plus, reciprocity. I would like to think all constitutional carry states recognize that same immunity for all other states residents, but I don’t know.
Regards

My own thoughts immediately went to Asa Hutchinson and his merry band of unquestioning compliers.

I have a Missouri CCW card, and I see it as legal protection if I ever wander into someplace that’s technically off-limits. The most they can do is tell you to leave the premises. You can be trespassed if you refuse.

The only exceptions are buses (still a felony) and federal property, including the Post Office. It is actually a federal crime to have a gun locked up in your car while parked outside on the parking lot. Ridiculous, yes, but it’s the law.

I know Missouri was trying to eliminate the law against carrying on buses, or at least bring it in line with everywhere else - all a bus driver could do is ask you to leave. The liberals are moaning and crying that it will make the buses less safe. Uh huh. They’re not safe to ride anyway because of the violence, which occurs in violation of the law.

I should have added trains like the MetroLink in St. Louis, as well. It is a felony to carry with or without a CCW endorsement.

required by law a.k.a. mandated. Split hairs over that?

You're to be commended for your 'adherence' but for me, the 2nd Amendment is my CCW. I've always carried in my vehicle, pretty well covered under the castle law. btw The 2nd Amendment Preservation act is going to be challenged now by the mayor of St. Louis and St. Louis county already filed suit. Missouri is in the crosshairs.

We’ll, a mandate is a bad word, unilateral action, extra legislative etc.
No offense intended, but no one has had to have a license, you get the idea.

Ii agree that the 2A is all we need. However, to that end we in MO went from a purchase permit to constitution carry in 13 years. Pretty from jim crow to 2A wouldn’t you agree?

Sic semper tyrannis.

“here in MO, having a license makes carry, open or concealed a non-issue with regard to prohibited places.”

I should clarify.

Regarding concealed carry in “ prohibited places , chapter 571.107, a licensee who enters any of those 17 places, with federal exceptions, and who is found to be carrying and leaves when asked, is not violating a state criminal statute.

On the other hand, a permitless carrier who enters those places could be arrested and prosecuted for serious crimes.

Think schools, hospital, etc.

Also, regarding open carry. A licensee who carries openly even if a local ordnance prohibits OC, is immune. A permitless carrier in the same setting is liable for trouble.

Hope this clarifies....

You should have criminally charged them with attempted identity theft, indicted them and prosecuted them

If the state police refuse:

Citizen’s arrest and appropriate use of deadly force against the ‘auditors’ seems in order.

They are identifying who has permits so they can order local offices to target them with federal charges here and there, so their permits get revoked, and they no longer can carry. This will all go on below the surface, and when the charges land on each person they will have no idea it was a Biden administration plan to undo the SC ruling permit by permit, using a week or so of surveillance to find out you use some banned herbicide on your lawn that you bought on EPA from China because it was cheap. Suddenly you find out that is a Class 2 EPA Felony, they show up at your door with a warrant, and there goes your permit.

I’ll give them credit. It is clever.

We are past the time to decide that the FIB is inherently corrupt, politicized, and in dire need to be dismantled and rebuilt into a useful, respected, and professional law enforcement agency that stays in it’s lane.
