And it will fail. Nobody tried to take over the govt , I mean they literally had no firepower. For all the bluster about Trump not aquiescing power, he did. All the gaslighting in the world cannot change the facts of that day sorry.

Lets take these one by one:

Select Committee testimony has demonstrated that he knew he had no good factual or legal basis for his claim that the election was stolen - not a crime to not listen to or believe your advisors.

that he knew Vice President Mike Pence was not going to save him - not a crime

and that his only chance to remain in the White House was to stop the final ratification by Congress on Jan. 6. - not a crime to ask your followers to protest

The testimony has also demonstrated that he knew some in the crowd assembled to hear him speak were armed - not a crime for some protesters to exercise their 2nd amendment right to bear arms.

, that a mob was heading to the Capitol, - not a crime for protester to head toward capital

and that it was clearly in his power to call off the insurrection but instead of trying to stop the violence, he chose to do nothing. - He called for a peaceful protest, things got out of hand and he eventually did tell them to please stop, just not as fast as “some” would of liked. Many of which said he acted to FAST over to harshly to the DC riots just prior to this. So again, not a crime.

There it is, as it always is:

NO CRIME WAS COMMITTED BY TRUMP.

I would love to read Jonathan Turley’s or Eugene Volokh’s view on the possibility of using the civil court to rule Trump guilty of insurrection. So far the attempts to disqualify congress members by using the 14th amendment article have been thrown out by the courts, (and one Bureau of Elections), as not having a basis in law. My reading of those cases was that there would need to be a trial with a conviction or civil ruling declaring the defendant to have been engaged in insurrection before disqualification could possibly occur. So far no one has attempted to take “the insurrectionist” to court for the crime of insurrection, or for a civil case of insurrection.

I also can not see who would have standing for a civil case and no DA would get past the motion to dismiss if they tried to bring a criminal case, which would have to be filed in D.C. I kinda would like to see someone try to file such a suit/indictment so that the courts will have to shut it down, with prejudice.

Funny how the Democrats are trying to destroy Trump. I would think all they need to do is show the video’s and that would be the corroborating evidence.

I’m thinking that this would end up immediately in the supreme court to decide and strike down this stupidity. And honestly, i’m even real crazy about Trump running in 2024. In this atmosphere, I think he’s probably the only one that could really lose.

Remember, this is the same bunch that made the act of owning a hotel at which foreign dignitaries stayed a crime.

The 14th amendment insurrection clause needs to be used against all Demonicrat politicians, who should be hunted down like former Nazis were hunted down after WWII.

I expect the libs will arrest Trump in October. Then the cold war will become instantly hot. Why is it that more than half the country has decided to stop thinking. After the dust settles here the Chinese and the Russians will finish us off and divide the west between them.

My wife and I are old now and probably will not survive the CW. During my now relatively long life I have seen people become stupider and actively begin to kill off humanity.

I have seen brilliant people most of my life. Why is it that during the last 20 years people have decided to destroy all humanity?

I think that when people finally have enough, the WEF and ALL their helpers will be first.

At some point we’ll have to physically deal with this. We all know that. The left is like a child with a favorite new toy. It will pitch a fit if anyone tries to take away that toy. We may have to endure the fit, but the toy must be taken away.
