Interesting thing, I can’t find the actual poll or its methodology anywhere, not at the above or that Albany local news website.

Unreal, it’s a disease, has to be. This is like lighting their house on fire, watching it burn, then rejecting the firemen.

You are aware that most of NYS’s 62 counties are MAGA red...?

They create the poll and then they create the "votes" which support the poll.
I'm not at all convinced that the polling is really this lopsided. Yeah, Hochul probably wins, but not by double digits.

So, what good does that do? What’s the population of those counties compare to NYC?

6.75 million registered democrats
2.9 million registered republicans

6.75 million registered democrats
2.9 million registered republicans
3 Million independents
Simple math
Given those numbers even if every I and R voted for the Republican the Democrat has 55% of the vote

Most Blue State voters are insane!!!!
Some of them, however, may be traditional Democrats who haven’t noticed what Democrat politicians have become in recent years!!!!

Because the ones that can have left that God forsaken state for normal and sane places like Florida.
What’s left are the lib idiots who like to be dominated by by draconian commie governments.

Simple math The math is only part of it. The party which can energize its base the most will prevail, even if in the minority. And Democrats have mastered how to energize their base - mostly with lies.
Dems are MUCH more likely to vote than Republicans, in my opinion. That's why in even conservative areas, Dems dominate big city politics. It's low hanging fruit for them.

Yup...Party numbers overwhelmingly favors the Dems
To: HamiltonJay
Do you have any idea what the party percent makeup in NY was when Pataki was elected?
That was in 1994 and the country has changed immensely, but it would be interesting to know.
To: rickomatic
I read that Led Zeppelin. It's bad enough that she leads Lee Zeldin, but it would be even sadder if she outpolled Led Zeppelin as well .... /sigh

Too many conservatives are too "principled" to vote for a GOP candidate who is less pure than themselves. Democrats have no such qualms. They just want to keep winning and move their agenda forward incrementally.

NY voter rolls are maniplulated to facilitate fraud. Clean up must be undertaken from the ground up. Won’t happen overnight, if ever.

My county and most NY counties will go for Zeldin. Unfortunately NYS contain large liberal population centers like NYC Albany etc.
