Corporations started hiring and promoting based on sex and race instead of qualifications and performance.

Corporations started organizing around teams so they could assign success to whomever provided the best optics instead of actual contributions.

Corporations reduced the weights assigned to actual performance-based reward system.

They want the white males to carry the weight but pay them the same. What do they expect?

The woman in the article who is primarily concerned about the environment ought to be fired, but she won’t because she is a woman.

The HR female who wants to do surveys of engagement ought to be fired because they should be focusing on measuring performance and recognize that surveys are useless. She won’t be because she is a protected class.

What do they expect?

I know they won’t replace these people with employees over 40.

Everyone has a God Given right to Die in the street from stupidity and laziness. I can only hope it happens soon. My only moral obligation to society is to help load the dead bodies into the truck to go to the dump so they don’t stink up the neighborhood.

Online slacker fad.

Sort of my visualization of the Euro employee's concept of a work ethic for the last few generations. Gotta have August off on holiday, don't you know.

Isn’t this something which happens in all communistic cultures?

People who have been robbed of a future just give up.

Quiet quitting applies to many government employees as well. They are the leaders in the trend. With government mandating changes in corporation workplace why is anyone surprised the same changes occur?

What a pack of degraded losers. Your integrity to yourself is one of the most important things you can have. You always do the best job you can. F*** a bunch of slackers.

Tell that to former Officer Pantaleo of the New York City Police Department. Then tell it to every other officer in the New York City police department who got the clear message that they will be punished for doing their job. I would expect every police officer in that city to refuse the mayor a protective detail and refuse to respond to any calls to city hall. The current mayor included because that racist is on tape trashing white officers when he himself was a cop.

Tell that to the police officers in Atlanta who watched their peers get fired for doing their job. Tell it to the police officers in Ferguson Missouri who witnessed the witch hunt against an officer who did his job.

Integriy is not allowing an employer to screw you out of time and compensation for your efforts. It's also about not letting anyone, especially those with no integrity, take advantage of you.

So long as they show up on a regular basis and get the job done, they tend to get unnoticed. Meanwhile, we have enough "go-getters" that go around them on the career ladder by getting promotions and much higher pay.

There's a third type.

I've been a "go-getter" for most of my career--that includes the last ten years here at my current employer. They've ignored my results, other than an occasional $25 "award." They've also ignored my requests for a promotion, even when faced with proof I deserve one. When I say "ignore," I mean it--not even a denial. All communication from me regarding that subject goes into a black hole.

The last straw was earlier this year--They put me on leave (using up all of my saved up PTO) prior to dismissing me for not getting the clot shot. I work from home full time with zero need to ever go into the office. On the last day of this enforced leave, when they were to officially fire me, they changed their minds and brought me back.

Not so much as an apology, or any recognition that I *was* back--even from my immediate boss.

So screw them. I've put in too much time to find something else so I'm not gonna help them any more.

i worked for 2 brothers, i treated their franchise like it was my own.
One “got it” and looked out for me- the other never did, he looked out for himself.
“don’t you want to see me do better?” actually came out of his mouth.
Meh- they’ll hire a monkey to do the job if it means keeping more $$ for themselves, no matter how hard you’ve worked.

I absolutely see this as an outcome of the US now being essentially a communistic culture. “We pretend to work and they pretend to pay us”.

It is Gen Z’s excuse for not really applying itself, since it hasn’t had any experience at such 16, 18, or however many years of formal supposed education.

Exactly. When you work hard only to be let go or have your job going to India is not an incentive to want to work hard. A slap on the face is when you have to train your replacement.

It’s ow called going “post postal”... where the person goes into their office to,quit and just stands quietly, doing nothing, to “teach their employers a lesson”

Peter Principle managers, hired due to wokeness and check box hiring, lazy workers, and government meddling in businesses has led to...fascism. All of our current problems are the result of fascism. Not to mention the rise of anticapitalism brought on by the teaching of Marxist theory in our schools.

So many here still fall into the trap of playing class warfare and blaming capitalism. Put the blame where it belongs...fascist government and those that vote for it/support it.

You can get a bad boss but a good job or a good boss and a bad job, you rarely get a good job and good boss at the same time.

I'm mostly retired now, sold a small business and my wife still works and I cringe at the thought of going back to any sort of job where I have to work with today's youth.
