Exactly. I don't relate to ANY of the above-mentioned 'red flags'. But they forgot the latest one...

Are you or have you ever been a Republican, Conservative, or supporter of Donald Trump?

Prepare to be audited!

When can we audit them?

Why are we paying for all this?

I am wondering if it might be wiser to NOT file the coming tax season as when you sign the tax return even if electronically you are swearing it is a true statement as by doing so opens all kinds of laws broken...

Restaurant wait staff working tips, (at el)... look out! Risk Mitigation from the revenuer”s shouldn’t be at the top of anyones plan, but it’s going to be. I reckon we’re all considered tax cheats until proven otherwise.

Flat tax is much more equitble than this bull... besides, paying for a full service accountant is getting expensive, but it’s “deductible” right? Increasing the standard deduction took care of any deductibles that middle income wage earners could leverage to keep their hard earned money in their pockets.

My only wish is that individuals could refuse these government handouts.

I don’t need the extra income on my taxes to be honest, but they send me these checks and they don’t even ask me if I want them or not! Which is total BS.

However, if you do not use the stimulus checks and save them for upcoming taxes I guess from an accounting perspective the sheet might balance itself out. Maybe... but it remains OPM (other peoples money) and that might not be constitutional.

ICYMI last go ‘round, if the government pays students loans guess what the government’s going to do? They are going to tax that money that students were given to pay their loans onto their individual taxable income.

Convoluted, confusing, and entirely unnecessary. It’s time for a flat tax... but even that will creep.

Political positions will become a very important issue of who gets audited. It will promote the most corrupt Gov’t Agency in the country. If it costs 30 Thousand dollars to pay for an audit and you can bribe an armed agent to look the other way for a percentage; guess where this is going?

THIS is the reason 87K new IRS auditors were needed. They will harass and break the opponents of the Biden regime.

Claiming EITC on children is not one of those, yet, it is one of the most abused frauds out there.

That last one (foreign earned income) is a biggie. When I was the unit tax advisor while stationed in Germany, I had a lot of military folks who worked on the NATO side of the house and insisted they can take the foreign earned income deduction. I told them, “no your salary is paid by Uncle Sam, so you do not qualify.” They still insisted, so I refused to prepare their taxes. I ran into three of them a few years later, and they told me they got audited and paid some significant penalties.

I think the reason this agency was chosen is that it is extra-constitutional. Meaning that one loses all constitutional rights when dealing with it.

If I understand it correctly one is guilty unless one proves self innocent and one’s travel and passport can be pulled.

The fast and dirty smart thing that conservatives in government can do in the meantime is to pass a fast law making all agency rulings subject to constitutional law. Immediately.
