The damage to the environment caused by the smoke is unimaginable! (Oh wait, this is a country that emits so much crap into the atmosphere it blocks out the sun.)
I’ve need FDNY use water if it’s outside on the street while waiting for a HazMat unit. Once out they separate the battery as best as possible and pack it in a metal drum with some special powder and seal it shut.

Imagine apartment buildings and office buildings on fire due to electric vehicles having short circuits or people in their cars on the roads. How many must die?

We have these scooter all over our town for touristas to rent.
They are everywhere!
And the tourists leave them right where they die................the batteries, that is.....😜
Moral of this report from India. Don't park yr electric scooter or E-bicycle in your garage. Don't park your EV or Tesla in your garage or watch your house go up in flames, possibly. Same as I keep all my mower gasoline outside under a shady bush.
I worry about all these power tools and appliances we have that use rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, i.e. drills, hedge trimmers, weed eaters, chain saws, lawn mowers, tooth brushes, shavers, food processors, vacuums, everything runs on these batteries, not just cars, motorcycles and scooters!.................

Bull you do not have or use an electric (battery, extension cord whatever) lawn mower. I live in FL same3 as you. I mow my lawn gasoline style. Or you might be in a communist condo w no lawn and a 30 ft communist pool outside..
