Biden is not on the ballot this year. People need to stop saying Biden when talking about how bad things are and replace it with “Democrats”.
Biden is simply implementing Democrat policies. And the only way to stop that is voting Democrats out of power in November and give congress over to the Republicans would will stop their agenda.

you are correct sir!
I believe one Donald J. Trump warned us that our 401Ks would suffer. Biden is a total unmitigated disaster!
The dems don't care though; most of their constituents depend on Uncle Sugar (the taxpayers), so they don't bother with 401Ks. The others, like Hunter and "The Big Guy" get their cut skimmed off the top.
I know you mean "crap tons" as in "a huge amount".
If I were the right sort of physicist I'd name the next subatomic particle I discovered the 'krapton'. I doubt the physics community would go along with it, but I'd just have to try.
“..Look at the bright side for 401k balances. Lower balance means taking a smaller RMD, so you pay less taxes. Biden’s giving those over 72 a tax break....”
Just took my first RMD this week.
To my grave, I continue pray a pox and a curse on whoever the bassturd(s) were, along with their families, that came up with the insidious, evil idea to tax the labor of a working man’s hands.
“...and give congress over to the Republicans would will stop their agenda.”
Well, they’ve PROVEN (aside from President in Exile Trump) that they won’t STOP it, but they DO stem the tide of Socialism for some small chunks of History.
It’s the best we can hope for. And that’s very, VERY sad.
:(
I am in the, ‘Red Tsunami Ahead Camp’ though, FWIW! :)
I moved all my 401k to cash money market in November 2020 #fjb
And we're talking about 401(k), 403(b), and similar retirement accounts. We're not talking about independent brokerage accounts. What' we're talking about is mutual funds all the way down. This rather vitiates Mr. Jeeves' argument.
Meanwhile, corporate defined benefit pension plans often dwarf the underlying corporation. They were unsustainable from the beginning.
This is the WORST I’ve seen our Economy since the Carter Disaster Years, but I was just starting to invest then, so I didn’t have much skin in the game.
40+ years LATER? All of my investments are losing ground, right when I need them most. Well, our farm is increasing in value; they’re not making any more land, as it were. But that cash isn’t tap-able for everyday living expenses.
I always harp on being well-diversified, but that’s not even working, these days. :(
Being completely debt free is about the best you can hope for now as we hunker down and continue to take the beatings Brandon & Crew are giving us. And don’t forget; these beatings are world-wide. He’s not just hurting US, he’s hurting the whole world, economically. (Even if that dumb beotch Pelosi is saying they’ve saved the planet.)
*SPIT*
I just bought one. I estimate it was between 25% and 50% "overpriced" compared to similar make, model, and relative age used cars 4 years ago. Thanks, Biden, you evil piece of monkey feces.
“I see no indications that the left is even slightly concerned that’s going to happen.”
As a proud member of the Socialist Underground in Wisconsin, I can assure you that in my state they are scared shiite-less.
I’m on all sorts of e-mail lists, text message lists and mailing lists that show me exactly the opposite of what you’re thinking.
Not a day has gone buy since campaigning ramped up last month that they aren’t desperately BEGGING me for cash.
Pelosi. Biden. My POS Governor Tony ‘One and Done’ Evers. Jesse (Mandela) Barnes, who is running against Senator Ron Johnson.
Never seen anything like it, and I’ve been at this a long time.
I am in the ‘Red Tsunami Ahead Camp’ and that’s where I’m staying.
But, by all means, enjoy your self-inflicted misery. :)
> And we’re talking about 401(k), 403(b), and similar retirement accounts. <
So am I. Most of these retirement accounts now offer mutual funds that automatically get less stock-heavy as time goes on and the person gets older.
These funds go under different names, depending on the mutual fund company. T Rowe Price calls them “Target Date” funds. In case you’re curious, they can be found here:

I’m aware of that.
I’m agreeing with you!

I never lecture someone for making a mistake when investing their money. I do, however, get on here and tell them it's tiresome to see the same complaints from the same person -- on thread after thread -- about the impact of the economy on their investments when their investment strategy was a disaster waiting to happen. "We were told to invest in X, Y and Z because they don't go down when the stock market declines" is not an investment strategy. And when X, Y and Z lose value, don't blame Biden or anyone in Washington. Go take that up with the person who told you to invest your money that way.
One case in point was from several years ago -- involving a Freeper who actually blamed Trump for a short-term correction in the stock market in 2018. This person's complaint -- almost word-for-word: "Now I don't have enough for the down payment for the home I'm buying next month."
I was almost angry to read that kind of sh!t on this website. Who the hell has money that is allocated to a major purchase like a home invested in the stock market?"
That's all well and good. The problem comes when you don't have a clear understanding of all the things that involve "risk."
> I’m agreeing with you! <
LOL! In your post #67 I originally read “vitiates” as “validates”.
Big words always have confused me!
I’m down at least 30% since President Retard started screwing up the economy and I have mostly bonds and income funds. It would be even worse with a lot of stock. I wondered how people couldn’t notice
That does make a difference ...
Thank God I’m living on dividends and don’t have to sell. I didn’t trust these libtards from the get go and made provisions early on
“ I moved all my 401k to cash money market in November 2020 #fjb”
Even that safest of havens has lost money due to massive record INFLATION
with many hand picked by Trump, I believe so.
