I share your distaste for Goodell. While I can appreciate the difficulty of herding 32 billionaires, he’s not the only guy that can do that. There’s also very talented people that can negotiate TV contracts. I don’t know why they keep.him.

Jerry Jones invested $1 billion in the construction of AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The city kicked in with the roads and utility lines, etc.

The city then opened many new restaurants, various stores and hotels. The city has made tons of $$ from taxes and increased businesses; much more than originally invested. Keep in mind that the stadium is used for much more than just Cowboys games.

I seem to recall that back in the Cowboys early days, owner Clint Murchison and GM Tex Schramm worked a deal where the Cowboys kept all revenue from the sale of their jerseys, caps, mugs, glasses, etc.

Has that changed?
