Where does Desantis stand on interventionist foreign policy, Ukraine war, drafting our daughters, and other Liz Cheney-John McCain-type causes?

We’re no longer a republic.

Until that changes, this **** is moot.

The only thing I want to know is where DeSantis stands on getting rid of RCV-enabled voting machines, early voting, and mail-in voting.

And why the hell he hasn’t been on the warpath about it.

It was a Pyrrhic victory.

I’m not celebrating that.

Let’s wait until the new congress is seated.

Kenneth C Griffin - neverTrumper RINO globalist.
Club for (china) Growth - free trade globalists.

Robert T Bigelow is an eccentric billionaire. Have no idea what his politics are.

$180 million for an easy win governor's race? Come now. Second largest expenditure was $6.3 million to Blitz Canvassing LLC in Colorado. https://www.transparencyusa.org/fl/candidate/ron-desantis-can/payees They don't mention having done any work in FL. https://blitzcanvassing.com/

Many other expenditures for marketing, analysts etc. Tell me he's not running in 2024.

Youngkin is said to be the establishment's second choice after Yale/Harvard Ron. The 2024 repub primary has begun behind the scenes with donor$ so Trump is in primary mode and we all know how that works from 2016. Barbs, put downs and nicknames.

“Let’s wait until the new congress is seated.”

Tell that to Murdoch media outlets, which are already pushing Desantis for president.

If he would run he would articulate this. There is no campaign yet so we need to quit making something that isn’t there.

He just got elected as Governor a few days ago.

I was going to post the same thing, but you beat me to it.

Comparatively speaking, DeSantis is flat broke. What this means is that his future in politics hinges on his willingness to do whatever his masters at Boeing, Raytheon, Exxon/Mobil and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce tell him to do.

A Reagan baby and crusader against the deep state.

I'm assuming this is a joke. Just look at his biographical profile, for heaven's sake:

1. Ivy League lawyer
2. DOJ experience
3. Career politician
4. Never worked outside government

If you saw those four items on someone's resume and didn't know who it was, you'd swear it fit the profile of a "Deep State" political operative to a T.

Why does it matter, he isn’t running for anything other than governor.

The people pushing rivalry between trump and Desantis are not our friends.

This divide and conquer stuff is one of the best tools the left has.

I’m a huge fan of Trump but obviously I think his recent slaps at Desantis are regrettable and sickening. I can’t believe he is feeding this. Well, nobody is perfect, but I hope people get through to him that this has to stop. There was no good reason for it at all. Reagan’s 11th commandment hello?

Desantis is an absolute gift for the right, same with trump

I thought there can’t be both a POTUS and VP from the same state.

In a way, but officially there is not. Right now is just mischief. Wait until they actually enter the race.

Maybe Floridians would like to think that at least they elected their Governor for a while anyway.

We should have laser focus right now on two things:

1 - fair vote counting in Arizona and Nevada

2 - the GA runoff election

If Trump continues to focus elsewhere, I have to question his strategy

All guilt by association, and projection.

Do you have anything against DeSantis, you’re able to specifically cite, other than him following the Covid lockdown guidelines that came from the Trump administration?

Thanks.

DeSantis appears to be all for the proxy war in Ukraine. That's why Paul Ryan is backing him, I'm sure.

“When Russia invaded Ukraine, Elon Musk positioned his satellites over Ukraine and gave them these things. So they’ve actually been using his devices to be able to defend their country, and I guess some of the people in the government were attacking Musk,” DeSantis said Monday.

DeSantis sounds like John McCain here:

“This is a guy who basically is an authoritarian gas station attendant — OK? — with some legacy nuclear weapons from the old Soviet Union,” DeSantis said of Putin. “Their whole society is hollowed out except for that energy. Hit him where it counts.”

Yes DeSantis is great on many social and domestic issues, but I’m starting to think he’s just a clever politician playing the game. Don’t kid yourself thinking he’s some kind of outsider willing to buck the system, he’ll fall in line with the GOP elite when it comes to foreign policy and these never ending wars which are bankrupting this country. Go ahead and let him run against and debate Trump and eventually he will out himself for what he is. He’s a great governor, but that doesn’t necessarily translate into him being a great President.
