I was at a conference in Dubai when the cotton tip of the cheap q-tips they stock in the bathroom lodged in my ear. It cost me 2000 dhirham (USD550) to have the stupid thing removed at a nearby doc-in-the-box. Pissed me off no end for a couple of hours. I can’t imagine how this guy could walk around for 5 years with roughly the same condition.
