Since The Knack hijacked a Pong thread, I thought they should have their own.

“Every Girl Looks Good After Nine Coronas!”

“ The late 1970s was a brilliant time for music.”

Only if you weren’t alive in the 60s.

We all hated that song in high school. We had local garage bands play in the quad on Fridays. The one band stupid enough to play that song was blooded off stage in a hale of milk cartons. A teacher finally unplugged them.

Sharona still has it going on. The song (the album cut) included one of the best guitar solos you could ask for.

Great song. Great band.

I was alive for both, and they were both great times for music.

Only because the radio stations played it every 6.2 minutes 24 hours a day.......that and Beth by Kiss.

Made me wanna drive my car into a phone pole. 😏

a strange sub-genre of rock ‘n’ roll was also starting to come together: power pop.

Power pop was already around for several years: The Foundations, Raspberries, Badfinger and even Wings would qualify. All early ‘70s.

Good song but I’m a Ramones fan especially since Johnny Ramone was a staunch conservative.

Yes the torture was extreme. The song its self is boring and endlessly repetitive. Its the musical equivalent of a Ford Pinto.
