This will now be a feature incorporated into iPhone 14 and future iPhone models. It’s a good emergency feature to have fir anyone who travels out of cell tower signal range,

An iPhone 14 lists for around $799 but getting emergency help
via satellite might make it worthwhile if you are in the habit
of going on safari in the Australian outback for instance.

Regular cell phone coverage in the Australian outback looks kinda dicey...

One’s Medical ID is their Vaxx Status and Contact Tracking?

Good for potential rescuers to make a judgement call.

Dedicated SOS Emergency communicators are still large, a good one is $350, and require a $15/month plan.

Just got The 14 with 512 gb. Verizon offered an $800 discount with a trade on my old phone. So far I like it.

I think the sos gps feature will be helpful for those who are lost - hiking etc. but, I have no doubt it will be misused.

The 14’s run closer to 1000-1200.
I have the 14 plus.

Yes, but you can email and text anyone anytime. Not just emergencies.

I have the Garmin InReach Explorer+. It talks with the Iridium constellation.

I just got the 14 Pro Max...had to buy it overseas, as the USA models don’t have a physical SIM card slot (only eSIMs).

I was doing a web search for the lowest cost.
What do the silly search engines know anyway?

You got the one with 3cameras? They didn’t have that in stock if I wanted 512 gb. So I got the Plus. I need a big phone as it’s easier in my eyes.

Interesting how they sell them differently abroad.
