I would be willing to bet that more than one of the 12 who voted for this have children or other immediate family members who are homosexual. This is a cancer that has infected our society at every level. In my spouse’s family, we have experienced this. We are very much in the minority by taking a stand that we love our relative but do not condone his sin.
An astoundingly high percentage of people who profess to be conservatives, abandon their long-held values and support the lifestyle choices of their misguided children (or siblings). I am always amazed at the folks I know who are attending or even sponsoring same-sex “weddings” for their children instead of lovingly standing for God’s truth.
This is an issue of unregenerate hearts, not one of legislation.
