Well, OK then.
I don’t know about the only purpose but the number of overtly racist postings is up, based on the posts that end up being deleted by the moderators.
There are real concerns about the vaccines, and as Instapundit notes:
“We’ve never had a vaccine-PR failure like this, and part of the public health community’s job is to sell treatments and preventives to the public. Instead they took a condescending, authoritarian, and frequently dishonest approach, and now people don’t trust them. Earning and keeping that trust is job number one for these folks, and instead they betrayed and squandered it. The costs will be lasting and severe. But hey, at least they’re not the only institution to betray and squander the public trust lately. So they’ve got that going for them, which is nice.”
With those points in mind, there’s plenty to take Big Pharma, Big Gov to task over. Instead we have some low intellect postings such as “it’s the vax unless proven otherwise”. Or the kookery of people like Stew Peters who latch onto COVID-19 vaccines = snake venom, or Dr. Tenpenny claiming that spoons stick to injection sites, etc, etc.
I do believe that repeated boosters can retrain the immune system in ways that make COVID-19 infection possible. But that’s just me. Kookery about COVID-19 and flocking to threads about an unexplained death and claiming it is due to COVID-19 are just attempts to advance a narrative, albeit in often ignorant ways.
Pretty good group IMHO.

Can’t really say FReeRepublic is racist. We make fun of everybody.
I never said FR is racist. I said there are individual posters who use certain posts to expose their racism. Here are some recent comments I've seen:
"Come to NOLA, get a real good taste for how the city is being transformed into a sewer, mostly by the negroes."
"Never note how if there were no blacks there would be almost no violent crime. Never recognize just how vicious and depraved many negroes are."
"What I have posted is simply the truth about the behavior of many possibly the majority of negroes. But there are truths that cannot be spoken and the descent into depravity of much of negro America is one of those truths."
Go to any FR threat about inner-city violence and you'll see the requisite racist posts. It's tiresome.

People are entitled to their opinions, just like you are entitled not to agree.
I go to whichever thread I choose in order to read news items, and obviously I go through the comments (which is the entire point of this website). I am free to comment on what I see as the racist ramblings of certain members just as they are free to make such comments. I, unlike many others on FR, can disagree with people while still coexisting with them on this forum. I “monitor” nothing on this forum. Do I report abuse? Not very often, but I have in the past.
again, i was just commenting if you know you’ll be upset, why go there?
There are several issues I do not agree with the majority here and i just skip those articles.
