Great job. There were a number of opportunities there, though, where a windup kick in the nuts was the appropriate move. Got it done though.
I would have run away with the gun at high speed. Like to see a 72 year old catch me in a sprint. The risk is cops taking me down as a perp. Or Chuck Norris type kicks at the old guy ( a few years of Tae-kwon do). Speaking of which shouldn’t that Asian guy have known a martial art or two? That looked like slap-ki-do in the vid.

The old guy had a hold on his arm.
He wasn’t strong enough to break the grip? Two arms against one I guess. But still , the MOMENT you get control of the weapon start running like a bat out of hell. Or beat the snot out of the old guy with the barrel of the weapon. If it should go off oh well.

He had to struggle for a while just to get the gun away. Best not to let the gun back in reach of the old guy.
Notice that their is something attached to the Barrel making it easier to be grasped in a fight.
What was missing in there was a good old fashioned kick in the balls.
Either that old guy is very strong, or hopped up on adrenaline or drugs, or the young hero is physically weak. And mark my words, he IS an American Hero.

You don’t think he was trying to stop the guy entering the party behind those doors? It’s my understanding there was a number of people partying in there. He seems to have carefully blocked the perp’s entrance. Self-preservation too of course in the face of deadly odds - is that not heroic?

He would be dead if the killer’s gun had not misfired.
He is to be commended for his actions but I don’t see hero status.
But there may be more to the story. If the killer displayed the gun on entry and he then moved to stop him I would upgrade to hero.
I will look more into that.
