I often wonder if the mirrors of middle age celebrities work the same as normal peoples’ mirrors.
Me either. I’m not sure I would wish fame of any kind on anybody.
And then there’s Andromeda. Still hot. Still looks the same.
And the ones from the fifties and sixties stayed pretty hot for a long time.
Raquel Welch, Ursula Andress, etc.
The lesson here is the best you can do as you age is to stay physically fit. Leave the face alone.

Ridiculous amounts of overeating and plastic surgery. Wow.
I’m buddies with Lee Horsley and he’s aged well at about 69. When we’ve gone out to restaurants or most anywhere in public, it’s fun to watch the ladies’ heads turn, pretty much all ages. I’m also friends with Steve Railsback and his wife Marcia and he looks good but totally unrecognizable. Ajay Naidu looks the same as his hit OFFICE SPACE, but totally weird to hear him without his “Samir” voice.
Not surprised. O has been in public media almost daily for decades. Maintaining her physical image must be part of her daily regimen, though she fights the battle of the waistline like many do ... get older slowing metabolism without slowing eating and/or take age-related or congenital condition Rx that always seem to bloat people (e.g. John Ritter RIP).
This reminds me of high school reunions. The jet-setting, popular classmates who were the best looking stop showing up ... and it isn’t because they are in a casket or ashes thrown into the wind.
Yeah, photo essays like these are showing us what not to do most of the time.

That’s funny you said that about class reunions. I haven’t been to many of them. In the photos I’ve seen, the popular ones still showed up even years later, whether they looked good or not.
I recall a fan saying he wished he was Cary Grant, Grant responded, I do too.
I do not understand the face lift stuff, it looks bad so often, but the weight, most of them really let go.
Meg Ryan still looks great as does John Travolta (I don’t know how to insert the photos).
It’s a safe bet that no “running” was involved.

Ugh. Meg Ryan ruined her face with plastic surgery back in the day, and it’s even more apparent now.
I have never understood the fascination with John Revolting. Nor Tom Cruising On.
