Baby lives don’t matter.

If someone else gets killed by the lion then those who let it go should be charged with man slaughter.

But you can see where this is going. Don’t ever give one inch, because they will never stop.

Agreed.

I wanted to point out that coyotes are essentially non-native species for most of the US. Where I happen to live in SoCal we have a city council that has an active coyote trapping program. It works fairly well.

It’s interesting to note that it took electing Republicans to make this happen. Go figure…

Look up Barnes Varmint Grenades, those would do the job.

Interesting. Probably not very quiet, though.

“What does that have to do with anything?”

Exactly! At least two people have made that argument one about the hordes of deer and the other about the coyotes. Our next door neighbor also said that bout the deer.

I just cannot believe people don’t understand we have dominion over animals. They elevate them to the same level as man or maybe even make them higher than man.

I noticed none of these people razed their houses to give the gentle animals more room. Hypocrites!

Many years ago, I shot BB Caps (ball bullet, primer load only, no powder). They were really inexpensive and great fun. I had a bolt-action Marlin and they worked really well. I think I shot CBee Caps, too. Are they also primer-only, no powder?

CCI makes CB shorts, and longs. Remington makes(made?) the CBee LR. All have powder charges, but are virtually silent out of a rifle. Aguilla makes a colibri round that is primer only, I believe.

I bought some of those on accident right after I bought a 10/22. The casings don’t eject for anything, and I don’t think I’d use it on anything larger than a raccoon. I’m not sure they’d be effective on a coyote. If dogs can survive .22LR, a coyote probably can too.

Raccoons are about the largest thing I worry about. Head shots on a coyote would work. Double lung shot, too, I’d wager. In town, silence is my main concern.

Place a CB cap into the heart lungs it will wander off and die soon.

Place it in the liver it will wander off and die in a week or so.

Shot placement is king.

I have shot a lot of canines.

Any good solid body shot with a 22LF will kill then.

With out expensive Vet. care they will die maybe not right away.

Brain hit dead right there heart and lung hit within 100 yards .
Liver shot times vary but they will die.

Gut shot could be a week or so.
