I wasn’t raised to be a political party member. I just agreed with the policies of one over the other and chose to vote thusly. When we first moved here, the elections office signed my parents up as Democrats because there weren’t any Republicans to vote for. At that time and in this area, Democrats still cared about unborn babies and the military, so it didn’t matter that much. Happily, Pres. Reagan came along and much of northwest Florida turned out to be Reagan country. Even then, for a time, one could vote for a Democrat over a Republican, at least on the local and state level, because they weren’t that different.
Big d Democrats owned slaves, oppressed black voters, segregated schools, etc.

And in many areas of study, particularly Sociology, Psychology, Law, et al, they have made it virtually impossible for anyone who is not viscerally on the left, much less conservative, to enter the ranks of faculty, much less rise within those ranks.
Nearly all of our formerly prestigious academic institutions, many of which started out as religious institutions at their founding, are now secular leftist hellholes with scant little to offer in the way of academic excellence.

Inadvertently this stupid man has defined the ‘Religion of Politics’ in which a series of politically oriented constructs comes to be the ‘sacred’ for a person. This is key to understanding why collectivists who call themselves liberals are are difficult to have an adult conversation with about a vast tranch of topics. Once the people at the top of progressivism make a secular moral judgement then that view becomes dogma in the church of collectivism. Therefore it becomes immoral in a pseudo libs mind to take the opposite side. Two outstanding examples are the Viet Nam War and Global Climate Change. Many here remember the screeching hatred with which libs came to think of fighting the North Viet Stalinists. It provided the Democrats with a great smoke screen to detach from a war they largely created and to use the ‘moral;’ opposition to the war as a tool to make sure Richard Nixon would not be able to take credit for bringing the conflict to a reasonably successful state of stasis which he could call a ‘victory’. ‘Climate Change’ is another example of turning a debateable issue into a sacramental topic in which no ‘good’ person denies the theology. The whole tenor of the woke movement is founded on the sacralization of a series of very dubious secular propositions. The people who believe in the religion of politics have their self image molded by it and like a pietist literally believe their dogmas define their being and one most believe the dogmas to be a morally good person. This is why just being a skeptic or an agnostic on these questions makes one an evil person in the eyes of the so called liberals.

When you redefine “God” to be what you want “God” to be, then NOTHING else in life will ever matter. Being the “”big D” Democrat” is his (along with many others) religion.
In order to get away with their evil, the left must redefine the dictionary. The most evil things amongst us have been redefined as part of normal behavior and all things that are good are redefied as extremist . . .
