Yes, incel here. I’m 76 (sounds really old when I read it) but I look and feel at least ten years younger.

I’m sure a lot of people will flame for for this, but....I think it is very smart for women in their 20s to look for more successful men in the 30s or 40s. Why? Because they have proven themselves and are probably ready to settle down with one woman. Especially a woman who is much young then them and ready to bear their children. She will always be younger than him and he will always consider her a prize.
The only problem with the above is that it makes it miserable for men to be in their 20s. A woman who marries a man in his 20s is rolling the dice in many ways. He may turn out to be a failure or a mediocrity. Or, if he is successful, he may chase after a younger woman when they are both older.
Of course, when I was in my 20s, I did not subscribe to the above. Now that I am older and wiser, I see the logic in it.
BTW, for context, I am over 60 and married to the same woman for 35+ years.
Actually, both words have definitions that mean the same thing.

One thing that makes it possible for women to chase the 10% of men is Internet dating apps. In the old days, people would meet others of the opposite sex who they physically interacted with. But the Internet changed all that. Now these women can put themselves out there and get hundreds, even thousands, of men expressing interest. That probably distorts their ego. And, of course, they seek out the cream of the crop. You kind of can’t blame them for this. What they likely don’t realize (or conveniently ignore) is the possibility that the Chads have multiple women on a string. So, in the end, they really are not doing themselves any favors. But they might now learn this lesson until they are well into their 30s and not getting very many texts or phone calls.

Women have every bit of technology to meet the ‘Chad’ and ‘Tyrone’ and get the unearned attention from men worldwide in an instant. She picks the top males who are only using them for sex while Chad and Tyrone both have a harem of sluts they hook up with. The sluts stay with them in the vain hope that she will be the one that catches and keeps him. Therefore, she is no longer “single.” Young men don’t stand a chance with the technology benefit women have. Social media, dating apps, weak fathers (if any at all) have ruined what young men needed to attract women. And what woman wants Bob from the farm next door when average looking Sally can have men from all over the world sweep her off her feet and bed her, at least for a weekend. So why not bury yourself in booze and video games and porn? It is the only safe space for a young man (especially if white) when all media, pop culture, and politicians demonized them daily. The alpha males with game know how to play it.
You have some (charming, popular) guys who date more than one woman. Each girl they see will feel she's "in a relationship". It's just that it's not an exclusive relationship.
And yes the figures are skewed by all the 20-something women who date 30-something guys.
