Small (minded) business owners that can't figure out the laws of supply and demand for labor should not be in business. I find this discussion both amusing and disgusting at the same time.

Most small business owners are not college educated and have no concept of salary negotiation. Those of us that went to college know that accepting a job is one thing but what follows is salary negotiation. Everyone knows the first salary offer is a low ball number. Sometimes it takes a while.
The pizza jockey should ask what the canditate wants per hour, then come back with a counter offer and so on. Might take a few minutes. Poor babies.
