I caught a judge doing this during an election in the newspaper comments. The newspaper was trying a new thing of publishing judge profiles - which was a good thing. One wacky judge faked an account to make nasty comments on her opponent.
He filed a complaint (I forget if it was with the bar or the judge ethics system.) Most of the judges are Democrats so they just dropped it. Years later the wacky judge went too far to cover up and had to resign. She was a real nutbar.
The newspaper solved their end by no longer publishing judge profiles.

Oh, Some woman sued Michael Vick for giving her herpes and provided proof that he knew, because he visited clinics under the name Ron Mexico. Soon, after that, the no. 1 jersey sold by the NFL was #7 with the name Ron Mexico. So the NFL had to ban it.

Like AOC she replied with the fake account to a question addressed to her real persona. I was the only one that noticed and pointed it out, then she confessed in the comments. The whole exchange including my screenname was part of the official complaint I saw later.
