All those issues were in fact documented. Trips abroad with no visible means to pay for them, no explosives experience, etc. and it was documented ad nauseum that he was rarely alone in the run up the the actual bombing, always accompanied by middle eastern, military aged males, most of whom spoke little English. I don’t know why McVeigh went to his death accepting full responsibility for the bombing, but who could fathom the mind of someone capable of that act? What I do know is the FBI has lied about the bombing from the first hours after the event and it would be beyond naive to think otherwise.

The FBI, meanwhile, quickly arrived at the scene and began supporting rescue efforts and investigating the facts. Beneath the pile of concrete and twisted steel were clues. And the FBI was determined to find them. This has got to be the most humorous sentences I've seen in ages and ages.
