There’s a documentary “ The Face of Jesus “ or some such that takes the three D data from the Shroud of Turin and plots the “face”’of Jesus. The result looked like many a face I’ve seen before n NYs Orthodox community. Basically a look I associate with a slight reddish tinge to the hair.
I have no recollection of the Catholic in-laws ever referencing the ‘key of David’...

The Olog-hai were also called Black Trolls, for they had scaly hides which were as black as their Torog blood. They were the smartest, and most dangerous of all the Troll breeds. These cunning and dangerous Trolls served as Sauron’s elite troops. Standing 9 to 11 feet in height and utterly ruthless, they made superb commanders for the Dark Lord’s Orc armies.
Able to bear sunlight easily and as intelligent as many Men, the Olog-hai were flexible, reasoning creatures. They spoke the Black Speech fluently and some knew Westron and other common tongues. Most could write. They always wore armor and used weapons. Most carried blank shields and war hammers, although they were adept at using almost any weapon. The Olog-hai also had a certain esprit d’corps, for unlike Orcs and lesser Trolls they rarely quarreled among themselves. Instead, they released pent-up anger by bullying lesser creatures, especially lesser Trolls, to whom they considered themselves much superior.

Yeah, but don't forget how that includes the Middle Easterners lightening up their gene pool a few centuries ago with white sex slaves captured from Europe. While 300K to 400K blacks were brought as slaves to what we today call the United States, about 1 to 1.2 million white Europeans were captured by Muslim slave raiders from the Ottoman Empire. The primary purpose of the women was sex slavery -- no doubt lightening up the gene pool, especially in the North African Ottoman states.
Another change was the Jewish diaspora spreading the Jews out in many places. What did the Jews look like before that? Like other posters I'd guess they looked darker than whites but lighter than blacks -- but we really don't know. All we know is that the Ashkenazi Jews were the ones that spent many generations among Europeans, probably lightening up their gene pool before moving back to Israel. It'd probably be a mistake to assume that the Jews in Israel today represent the skin color of Jews before the diaspora.

No; just a Tolkien fan from way back. I find the term either ironic or apropos depending on the internet situation.
I had considered “Fangorn”, since I read a long time ago that the term “ent” was used as an antonym for “troll” in internet contexts; however, the appearance of this handle only in the LOTR appendices and the name-like quality of the term was intriguing.
I doubt he looked older than 33, the age He was murdered at.
