And if they can do it to him, they can and will do it to the rest of us.

only if you let them. Find your post and do something.

How about some Republican legislative proposals to keep this stuff from happening?

SO:

-The indictment does not align with the elements of the statute charged.
-Trump's access to presidential records is protected by the Presidential Records Act.
-The other crimes listed in the indictment are process crimes, which the author believes are not valid considering the absence of a crime being investigated.

The most egregious aspect of this indictment was the fact it was used to cover yet another Joe Biden scandal; namely the 5 million dollar bribe he took.

Agreed. Luckily although Trump's indictment is a smokescreen, I did pay attention to the facts presented by Jim Jordan this week, and they'll hold up in court.

Woops. Except we don't have a justice system - it's Just Us Democrats. For Republicans, The Man will throw you in the big house for crossing the street.

It is unbelievable that some on the left don’t believe that this is a witch hunt.

They don't care if it is.

Drew Klavan makes the point (here in paraphrase) that these people are like fungus infected ants who are convinced that they are righteous and that centralized power is a good thing because it is being run by people like themselves who are righteous and in possession of virtue.

These people know that they are righteous, they are experts, they are in charge of doing these things to the people who don't know better and shouldn't be allowed to make decisions for themselves. They lie so easily because it becomes irresistible to disbelieve anyone who opposes them. Because to themselves, they seem to be telling the truth. And they defend the lie as if it were the truth because that is what they believe deep in their souls. They are brain fungus infected ants.

And like those fungus infected ants their brains have become controlled by the belief, the fungus, the delusion that they possess an overarching virtue. So righteous and virtuous they are that they feel the duty to force everyone around them into submission as if it were to save the earth. To perpetuate the fungus. By Any Means Necessary is their banner. And these people have coopted every institution our society has to offer.

Every Single One

Incredibly this still passes as reporting for CNN - effectively pushing the narrative that anyone who votes for Trump is a terrorist. Citing the FBI is a signal to millions they’re being set-up for political reasons yet again. Trump declassified and retained many documents of Derp State shenanigans, Russiagate, etc. That’s the problem. They couldn’t care less if all of the nation’s security secrets are sold directly to China or Russia or Burkina Faso, so long as their sinecures are not threatened. DC believes it alone is America, and will burn every inch of America outside of DC to the ground to retain primacy.

As another FReeper pointed out, just because documents had classified markings doesn’t mean they are still classified. The classified markings don’t come off once something is declassified.

Further, there were 107 documents that were never marked as classified that the DOJ, upon review, deemed classified all by themselves.

Total set up!

Classified documents shall be protected.
But, “no reasonable prosecutor” would bring charges against Hillary!
There is no special prosecutor working on Biden or even Pence.
If there were, I would say, yes, Trump may be guilty. Otherwise it is just case of selected prosecution.

The timeline that the inquisitors set pertaing to Trump's lawyers being used as possible witnesses is all screwed up. Only logical conclusion was DOJ leaking this stuff as noted by one female stooge named Rollins who had to resign (In relation to that or whatever phrase they say when making things go away by giving the public a “head”/sacrificial lamb) from the beginning.

No way Trump can get a fair trial just via DOJ’s disingenuous behavior during the investigative stage. Most of the “evidence” should be thrown out along with a very loud public apology by the DOJ to Trump's lawyers.

“only “hundreds” were marked classified.”

As Sundance at The Conservative Treehouse points out, the term MARKED CLASSIFIED is in the indictment purely for propaganda purposes. Most of the docs referenced had been DECLASSIFIED, but still bear the obsolete Classification markings on them, since they don’t magically evaporate upon declassification. And classification markings, in force or obsolete, are irrelevant to the actual charges and included to create prejudice. DoJ is hanging its hat on the nebulous standard of “injurious to the nation’s defense” or “to a foreign nation’s advantage” — the DoJ will insist its judgement on what is and is not injurious to the national defense, etc. is ABSOLUTE.

Your point about whether the document Trump mentions on tape was returned to the gov pre-raid is very interesting. Let’s hope it was.

The audio shows only that Trump was still trying to be protective of the details of the document. He’s being responsible with it. And, he kept it because it exposed a government official who was lying about Trump.

“i feel it is time for House to hit D’s and Joe with a barrage of impeachments”

We all do, except most of the House Republicans. They all have access to a higher wisdom that we don’t, wisdom that advises them to not take common sense actions.

Trump’s indictment is going to the Supreme Court. There it will fall under the Presidential Records Act.

But even if it is under the Espionage Act, there’s no claim that Trump “willfully communicates, delivers, transmits” the secret information he held.

DOJ/FBI Election Interference. For crook Biden.

My thoughts are on why isn’t there an indictment on Biden he’s the one in illegal passion of stolen classified documents.

Bonus round: Hunter is still out of jail as well as the rest
of the syndicate.

I believe DOJ is trying to transfer this case out of Florida and up to DC. That’s a location where any potential jury already knows Trump is guilty, they just need to know what the charge is.

The last place Dems want Trump is in jail and a martyr. The first place they want him is on the ballot in 2024.

Lawfare is the weapon of choice at this point by the democrat communist party in the o goi g CWII. If lawfare stops working, the democrats will turn to weapons and other types of kinetic warfare.

Am I the only one who thought it sounded like Trump was actually surprised about the contents of some of the documents, that he was learning about them for the first time? Did Trump personally pack all of those boxes of documents, or was much of it done by staff? If so, who? Did someone put problematic materials in the boxes as part of a set-up to get Trump?

yeah i got that about classification not being issue now - but the pix of boxes here and there and everywhere does give impression of thousands upon thousands of classified dox removed, declassified or not.not a few hundred. in other words, pix are designed to misrepresent. as for doc mentioned on tape, since so much tends to be misrepresented for effect and to create a misimpression, i’ll await context from defense.

My thoughts have always been that Trump got some of the documents related to the Hillary campaign, FBI and DOJ knowing the Russia Collusion Hoax was false all along so he could sue the bad actors at a later date. That is what I would have done.
